What‘s a watch supposed to do? Tell time, right? But sweep aside the obvious and delve into your senses to reveal what a watch really does for you.
My watches help ground me and whisper comfort and reassurance while navigating this most untimely world.
For reasons I can’t nor care to explain…my half-dozen Armitrons do this better than even my most historically beloved Casios.
What morphology has molded this transfer of sentiment? What gush of blood has filled my heart for these value-rich timepieces? Never mind — I’m happy to bob down the stream of time while one of these comes along for the ride.

Time ? ya that's about it... Custom brand helps
Leica for me. Apparently, they also make cameras and amazing lenses that sell for arm+leg.
Oh, we can add Ming to the list. He used to be (and probably still is) an amazing photographer who wrote a great blog on the subject. One day, he put is cameras away and started making watches.
I love Armitrons and they have a great back story.

Ahh…the Griffy.
Back in school don't know why they would make fun of you if you was wearing a Armitron watch. Nobody made fun about you wearing the cheapest Casio or Timex but Armitron you get roasted. For me I will take the Armitron over a Chinese knock off fashion watch.
Always had a soft spot for Armitron as well.

You're just not cool without a Griffy.
Three years ago, I‘d never heard of Glycine. Now I own two of them, and I keep looking at other models.

It‘s easy to add another model when you feel good about the brand.
Armitron is my under-appreciated favorite

Your Durasteel is nice! My Jace with the red/blue bezel above is the modern representation of yours.

Thanks, it’s one of my favorites.
Nixon. They're the "good guys" of the watch brand world; they know that they aren't redefining luxury and just want to make quality, versatile watches for young, hip and active people. My friend from college has a black PVD Time Teller with gold indices and hands, and I myself would like to get a gold one with a green dial.
My son has this one…and I am often tempted to sneak it from his watchbox.
