I am a fan of Armitron. So the other day when an e-mail popped up regarding a curated first-come, first-served collection of vintage watches for men and women, I delved into the offering.
There were ten watches available for men (and five for women), each between three and five decades old…never worn and revived and polished for sale from the vaults of the E Gluck repository.
I chose this 36mm take on a classic day-date design because of its steel-hued dial, coin-edge gold-tone bezel, compact fence-post hand set…and black on golden-tinted date wheel. This model is only one of two-of-a-kind in the collection.
The watch arrived yesterday, safe-and-sound…presented in a stitched leather box and complete with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity by Armitron’s boss and daughter of Armitron’s founder Eugen Gluck — Barbara Weichselbaum.
My new vintage Armitron wears like a dream, sports the original E. Gluck logo at 12:00, shines brand-new, but is actually decades old, jingles and jangles like the bracelets of yesterday, and represents the timeless age of time itself…presented in this beautiful vintage expression I am proud to wear on my wrist.
What’s a recent acquisition of yours you want to share?
Time dictates my linear path to its bitter end. My watches keep me one step ahead of time...and bring a bit of flavor to my daily duties.
Nice! I’ve been thinking of adding an Armitron to my collection. Do you like this one?

I do. Check out two other models as well on their website that I think you may like even more.
I saw the announcement on IG and was pleased with a lot of the offerings for this collection.
Very nice find. The first watch I really remember as a kid was an Armitron. I wore that thing to the ground. Yours looks in really great shape.
Super cool watch and history.
That's beautiful!

Its dial color is like no watch I’ve ever owned.
That's beautiful!
Thanks! I’m glad I made the purchase. It was listed as sold out right after I made the purchase…so I guess I got the 2nd one they had.
I forgot to ask what email list is this and how do I get on it?
