Watch/Art Bussiness

Good day! I have a new mockup for my watch business. This is one of the pieces. Could I please get some feedback on whether you like it or not? Also, how could I make it better, either with the watch itself or the artwork?

Not enough contrast between dial and hands to make it readable and the date looks just wrong.

·

Very nice dial although I'm not sure what I'm looking at exactly. For me, legibility is a huge factor so I would not be a buyer. But I do like minimalism and so you have that going for you. Cheers.

·

Paint hands white, or introduce some variances of color instead of playing with the green only. I like the date, although it might look better at 6. Keep it up brother!

·

Sorry to say, but this is bad. Really Bad!

Legibility, proportions, contrast, hands, date window (placement, size, font).

Not a single design decision has been done right here.

·

Little bit more contrast on the hands and you might get some collectors interested.

·

It took me a few minutes to figure out what was on the dial. If you're going to use art it should probably be recognizable and it should go through some testing to see if there is an audience for it. Personally I find textured dials more interesting than ones with pictures.

·

Lovely watch! I’d consider going with a colour-matched date wheel and hands with more readability/ contrast, perhaps matching the case tone.

·

I think the same comments I made to the models you presented a week ago apply to this one also.

·

In my most envious opinion, it should have minimalist indices at least. Im okay with the different shades of green and the date window! I would consider indices tho

·

I believe you need to decide if you are leaning toward creating art, a watch, or a novelty item and this will guide your design better.

·

Looks good except for the date window. Lose the date completely!

Good day thanks for the reply and insight. I see alot of people mentioning legibility so it will be one of my key factors to fix. I have a post before this on my profile and im asking if you could even breifly look at those watches and tell me if those look nice. Again i really appriciate this feedback and im just trying to make the best watch I possibly can so thanks for the support.

Hearing that the date looks off so will definietly take it out. Is it possible for you to go on my page to my previous post and critique those two watches also. This is really a passion for me and I would love to make the best product possible

I really love watches and the industry but I also have a passion for art I would love to basically marry the two passions. Is it possible that you could look at the post I did before this on those two watches and if you have an idea of what might be better for the desgin of the product to reply back. Thanks again and i really appriciate it.

I do think they would look better with indices. I will experiment with if its possible to paint inbetween them so it doesnt take away from the watch look itself. So thanks for your input I will defiently be looking into that. Is it possible for you to go on my page and to just look at my previous post and tell me what you think about those watches aswell.

I will work on the readability of the watch. May I ask though what would make someone like you more intrested in the watch?

Understood and thanks for the honesty. Your post got the most reactions also so you must be saying what is on most peoples minds. Is it possible that you could also look at the previous post on my profile and tell me what you think about those two watches. I want to create the best watches possible for my brand so I want to know what works. Thanks again for the critique.

The artwork is a great setting- the date wheel colour will help that. To me, a watch should be legible- distinct hands will not distract from its beauty as jewelry.

Alright I will probably make the hands a color like white which would be easier to see. Is it possible that yo could also look at the previous post on my profile to tell me if those have the same problem or less of it.

What's your website? I would recommend you read the articles on Fratello on VPC. One of their writers recently ventured on creating their own watch brand (VPC) and documented the process. The articles are in the "Build a Watch Brand" link in the article I am attaching here for you. I think there is a wealth of information you could learn from it. https://www.fratellowatches.com/introducing-the-vpc-type-37hw/

·

Thanks I will definitely do that. Not my website my profile on here. You can tap my name and see my previous posts.

For me at least 40m across and legible hands. 😊
