I've been debating between these two watches and I can't make up my mind! They both are extremely comfortable, look classy and I find them really fun. Which one would you pick and why? (It's going with a dark gray suit(older "classic style" fit) with black belt and shoes)

Can we mix and match? The CW with the Milanese? If not, get a black leather strap for either to match with shoes and belt.
The milanese could go with the CW but it's Certina branded so might look odd upon close inspection. The wedding is on Saturday so no time(or budget) for a new strap at the moment - thanks for the advice.
I'm a big fan of the CW but in that case I would go for the Certina, which is a perfect dresswatch (except for the date window in my opinion but that's another subject !)
I'd say that the Certina is slightly dressier than the CW.
With the strap/bracelet switched

Would you choose the Certina with the mesh strap or the black sailcloth?

Certina Sailcloth.

Sailcloth.
I would stay Certina milanese
I 2nd @Guyllheaume , with no leather strap available I say Certina on milanese.
Certina!
Can you get your hands on this one? Would be perfect ๐ฅ

I'd love to but the wedding is on Saturday and my budget is done regarding watches for the year
Certina
Certina on the mesh is the win in this case.
Certina
Cโmon!! No one is gonna say it?!!! Suits!! What goes well with it!! Cโmon โฆ. ๐ I missed this post โฆ too late now lol
Yes - formal events usually call for black leather strap on a watch with a black dial, silver dial or gold dial.
Here is a classic formal look...
You could also go with this...
Or possibly this...
Just don't plan to wear something like this...
That red Hauer ๐ฅฐ
Certina, but unless one has something planned afterward omitting a watch altogether is an option that I'd support.
I'd go with the certina on the Black Strap but tbh you wont get judged for wearing either of them
I'm not sure I am suitable marriage with a hobby like watches ๐๐คฃ๐คฃ
Youโll never know unless you get the right suit/watch combo. Question is if you want to stay classy and understated or draw Attention using your watch as a conversation starter?

I'm committed to the milanese and Certina combo. Most of the time it'll be under the cuff so I'm hoping to be understated as opposed to blingy

Depends on who you want to attract. Is it the wallflower in glasses or the drunk bridesmaid? To each his own. ๐ป
I'd go with the bracelet one, as it looks a bit more formal.
My vote is on the certina! More dressy ๐
Certina on the Milanese is my vote
Certina w/ sailcloth is oozing class ๐๐ผ
Certina. Definitely the Certina
I went with the Certina on the Milanese bracelet, the wedding was amazing and it's one of the only times where people have commented on my watch(Most people were wearing Apple watches with smart leather bands which looked very sleek - it's pretty cool that old traditions regarding watch bands has made it to smart watches!) Thanks again for all the advice.
You canโt go wrong with the CW or either for that matter. This is why we end up collecting watches. One just isnโt enough.
