Intro & SOTC

Hello everyone! New here to watchcrunch. Wanted to introduce myself and show you the current state of my collection.

I started in watches more than 12 yrs ago with Invicta. I like the brand initially when the designs were more simple, though still very large. I no longer like their gaudy styling and sold/gave away most of those. So as you can see my current collection is in transition/starting over to one I am proud of.

I have the small one Invicta in top right remaining but honestly don’t wear it much. The two in the top left are some of my original watches from many years ago, one from my now wife and other I picked up because I liked the skeletonize look. More sentimental value than actual value. The remaining four are what I wear regularly (Oris, 2 Seiko’s and Tissot). The Oris on more special occasions. It’s my favorite of my collection thus far. As you can see I am not much of a fan of rubber or leather straps. Prefer metal band or NATO strap.

My goals for my next time pieces are higher in cost 😬: Longines Moonphase, Grand Seiko GMT, Breitling Navitimer, IWC Pilot Chrono and Tudor Heritage Chrono. These are not grail watches but I’m pretty set on getting a few of these. The GS is a must.

Grail watch: CVDK (Klaauw) or A.Lange moonphase perpetual calendar 🤤

Thanks!

Some of us go through an Invicta phase and some may never exit it. No shame if you like/liked them.

The transition collection is nice though. Welcome!

People shit on Invicta but I cannot think of another watch brand that's given me such joy and laughter.

·

Invicta gets picked on but they do make some nice watches that won't break the bank. The Grand Divers in particular. And no need to apologize for what appears to be the 9404 Coke bezel NH35A Pro Diver in your collection.

Welcome, and thank you for sharing your collection. 🍻

Blues, whites, blacks, I love it.

Welcome! Great Collection!

·

Very nice collection there. What's your wrist size? Looks longingly at those bitchin' watches that are just too damn big for me

Most important, welcome to WatchCrunch! 🥳🎉🎊🍻

Welcome to the Crunch. Fine collection! 😊

·

Welcome!🤝 Some nice watches there.😊Really liking the Oris.👍

·

Welcome. Nice collection. As Invicta go, that's almost understated; I would probably wear it, unless it was just too damn big (over, let's say, 45mm)

The massive overly ornate ones give the smaller more simple ones a bad name. Yes, that one is small for my wrist and I don’t care for it much. Thanks for the comment!

You have done what most of us do and purchased a watch you liked then decided there are other more expensive pieces...I have to warn you..It gets much worse LOL enjoy the hobby

·

Welcome, you’ve come to the right place! Nice collection, pics when you get the next piece.

·

Nice collection , welcome to the WatchCrunch club. No need justify anything in your collection as it's all good. As in life we change and develop as we get older and more experience but it's good to see where we have come from. 👍
