Yesterday my dog Mocha asked me to look after her watch while she went for a swim (she was worried about getting it wet).
Every time I get a new watch:
“OMG, this is it! This is THE watch and I will wear this watch only and no other until the day I die!!!! I may as well sell the others as I will never wear them again!”
This lasts about a month, then I re-discover the rest of my collection and take great joy in rotating them.
Repeat 😂
My 102 year old Fabre-Leung ships clock (on the wall in the kitchen). 1 week power reserve, the Sunday morning wind up is a ritual. I get it serviced about once every 5 years. Last service cost $132 AUD after which it was running + 1.5 seconds/day. I use it to time my coffee shots every morning.
