TAG HEUER WATCHES - YES OR NO?

Today, I received an incredibly considerate gift from my family – a Tag Heuer F1 Quartz watch with a stylish carbon strap. While I wasn't initially a big fan of Tag watches due to their previous releases, this one has truly won me over. I have to say that ‘22/‘23 releases are excellent watches. What do you think of the brand?

They make great watches, and that one looks awesome.

Most of the complaints snobs have are about frivolous things that don't matter, or stuff that happened more than a decade ago.

·

Nothing wrong with Tag Heuer. I've been a fan for over 30 years.

·

I've got two (and a hat) and love the brand and my watches.

·

Had one as my only watch for 20 years. Still have it. Still a nice watch.

·

I think they lost or diluted Heuers rich history with the rebranding / takeover in 1985. I don't think people appreciate their history like they do Breitling, Hamilton ect.

The design didn't appeal to me initially; it seemed a bit chaotic. However, once I put this watch on, it felt perfect on my wrist. I wouldn't have chosen it myself, though.

Agree. I’m happy I got this one.

I find the looks to be hit or miss for me but I must say I really like the look of the hits.

Love Tag. My Aquaracer is at the top of my collection.

I think the design of these does kinda grow on you. When I saw the F1 first I thought it was too busy and crowded looking but every time I see one I like it a little bit more.

Of course it could be that it being a gift changes your perception of it but I don't own one at all and it's still a slow burn kind of thing

I was thinking about it and my first thought was to sell it. Then I tried it and I love the contrast and just overall look. It started to feel right.

Yes without hesitation

My first luxury watch is A Tag Heuer Link. It is still in my collection. It is a very nice watch. I really hope that they will bring back the Kirium.

Love TAG and I have one of those myself 👏

Entry level Tag Heuers?

I’m late to this post …

I love Tag Heuer, as I bought my first F1 at a young age.

They made some questionable design choices at one point which was damaging to there sales.

Now we see a revived and fresh brand, but they need to continue to carefully pick from there archived catalog so to release winner.

One thing that deterred me from buying any of the Carrera chronographs in the past was the full high polish case. It’s just too shine for a sporty time piece.

I hope they fix that in the next releases.

Tag Heuer F1 for me is THE watch in their range. Growing up seeing ads and also the connection with F1, Senna, being a car nut really influenced my first proper swiss purchase. Tried your variant but it seemed muted on my wrist, instead went for the colourful Redbull. Great brand, cleaning up their range recently, new F1 auto with the inhouse calibre is a stunner.
