Unexpected Sticker Peeling Day
I got an email for an invite to a Tudor event from an AD. I presumed it was for the latest pieces from Watches & Wonders. I replied I was interested in attending and also enquired if they had any BB54’s in stock. Yep, literally the day before the email was sent out!
The AD kindly reserved it for me to check out. To my surprise it was still fully stickered and in the transportation box. I had tried on the watch a few times prior and it was on my ‘watch buying roadmap’ ever since it was announced. So here we are; first stop on this year’s map (there are potentially two more stops).
It’s lovely (obviously) and luckily (unlike some others) I’m not ‘inbetween’ on the link/T-Fit clasp, fit-wise. Personally, I haven’t bought a (predominantly) brushed cased watch in a while and it feels reassuring in that way. Also the bezel click is just so satisfying - someone should just make an hour long ASMR video on it.
One quirk I noticed was the Tudor shield on the clasp is very reminiscent of the Comedy/Play face symbol in theatre - now you can’t ‘unsee’ it too (you’re welcome!)…

Thanks. It’s slightly smaller (case) and roughly same (thickness) as a 5 digit Rolex Sub - if that helps?? Event is not for another month or so but I’ll report on that nearer the time.
I think you’ll probably be in luck if you’re near an AD as I’ve seen a few around now…

I did ask for a price/lead time for the additional rubber strap and (T-Fit) clasp. I do like a rubber strap on a dive watch (it’s casual and super comfortable). My only personal caveat is to have a fitted one. I may have to explore some 3rd party options

Oooh! Hope it’s part of their CTS ones! I have one for my PRX and it’s comfortable and supple especially with the spring fit clasp.
