Watches we are likely never going to own...so which of these piece unique OnlyWatch watches would you choose if you could?

So it's that time of the year again...when our eyes get to look longingly at amazing watches that will likely never be in our collections or on our wrists.

Yes...it's the OnlyWatch auction time again.

This year there are some magnificent examples and some head scratchers...

So feel free to comment below on which one you would go for if you had the pockets of J.P. Morgan...

And which of these do you think "WTF"...

I will start with my two personal favorites from Baltic and Moritz Grossman...

Now here are some of the rest (it would not let me post the long list of images...I tried)...you can decide which are amazing, cool or WTF...

Do I need to pay a monthly fee for the sweet sweet OnlyWatch subscription access? 🤣

·

They are all trash.

Overpriced garbage.

Useless jewelry.

Ugly over-designed fragile pieces of shit that wouldn't survive a baby bath.

And don't get me started on the exotic skin industry.

This message was brought to you by PETA.

The Laurent Ferrier seems legible and tasteful. What am I missing? I could nitpick why I have varying degrees of apathy to hatred for the rest, but I'm not really the demographic for these so it's moot.

·

Chopard, Voutilainen, Laurent Ferrier, and Gronefeld would receive my imaginary money. To the rest, I say "meh".

·

Gold “looks like a Daytona but isn’t” Tudor? Sure, why not.

You have impeccable taste...the only watch more tasteful than a Laurent Ferrier would be a Philippe Dufour "Simplicity"...

That Voutilainen dial is mesmerizing...made me think of mandelbrot fractals...

·

I'd go for the gold Tudor or the Skeletonized AP. Nothing else really caught my attention.

Very solid choices

The Baltic, Furlan Marri, and Tag Monaco win…but you forgot this awesome, Hublot. I am not saying it ironically. It is more art than watch, but I am here for it. The MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon.

On second thought, I forgot about the Chopard and I'm now kind of taken by the Krayon (the blue on blue thing with the daytime band above the Ferrier). I'll have to go read about that but I think it's like a Yes Watch.

Yup, I was right. I love it, but it's probably hugely huge.

What sets the Anywhere apart is its clever design, showcasing a beautiful representation of the sunrise and sunset times. The two-color ring surrounding the painted center symbolizes the length of a day, dynamically changing with the seasons. The light blue segment represents daytime, while the dark blue segment signifies nighttime, with the intersection between the two indicating the precise moments of sunrise and sunset.

I didn't forget...just was limited to what I could include (I had all the images loaded but it wouldn't let me post until I deleted a number of them).

When push came to shove...thought I would leave the Hublot for those curious to click on the Revolution Watch link...same with some of the other more extravagant watches.

I don't have a view on Hublot one way or the other...I just find most of their watches way overpriced for what you get...not much different than some other brands I won't mention...

This one is truly a work of horological art...Hublot or not...

The LU Chopard is great but I think the salmon dial did it better...

Ah…now it makes sense. I have never looked at a Hublot, largely because their non-symmetrical screws drive me nuts. Otherwise, they are pretty good looking, except being grossly overpriced like you said.

·

Still trying to figure out the MB&F. He’s a mad man, in the best way possible.

The Chopard would get my non-existent imaginary money.

Great choice!

Love Chopard especially LUC.

The FP Journe entry is perhaps the number one WTF watch of all time for me.

The Chronomètre Furtif takes its name from the difficulty of reading the time if the watch is not facing you, as the blue enamel dial reveals the frosted numerals only in the reflection of light, whereas, the moon phase and power reserve indications are integrated into the movement and visible only on the back. It is therefore a watch whose indications can be enjoyed only by its owner.

It is a watch where the time is hard to read on purpose while the rest is on the back side so you can't see it at all. Their motto is “invented and made” but it should perhaps be “invented and made worse”... what's next, a watch that has no crown and is hard to set on purpose? A minute repeater mechanism that cannot be activated?

Read: I have so much money I can flaunt the fact that I paid millions of dollars for an unreadable watch because time doesn't matter to me...that is for the peasants to worry about...

That simplicity is gorgeous. I wish I had a million bucks lying around...

You're right this is like torture, but I still love the process.

That Moritz Grossman is nice. I'm on a breguet numerals freak out right now and I NEED a watch with them. Also, that looks like a hammered dial, which I love in the Lange handwerkskunst variants and the Moser enameled dial. Sigh.

The purple on the Baltic is like candy. Not my thing, but color is always fun since I'm so bland usually in my dress and watches.

Barbier Mueller never heard of them, but I like the fact that they put the same dial motif on the side of the case and lugs.

I'm a FPJ CB fan, but that watch is terrible except for the tantalum bracelet, wow. I love the color of the metal.

That Frederic Constant is ugly AF to me, but I love the solar system complication. So nerdy and cool.

I really liked that furlan marri got in that action, but technically not then that created the movement...

The Gronefeld designer... I think he had. A flashback of his 60s Woodstock days, tripping on acid.

Weirdly, I like the Hermes. I like that accuel (whatever it's called) slanted font.

Krayon Whatever, Wherever, Whenever that is so cool. It looks like an impressionist painting. Like Monets water lilies.

Sorry, but I hate that flower motif on the LV bags that was popular years ago. This thing is ridiculous!

·

Pic 24 or 29.

·

I pick the Grossmann with the L U Chopard as runner up.

·

I don’t think I am the target audience for some of these watches because I am so boring… but that Baltic is 🔥 and genuinely makes me excited about their future if they continue to build on this initiative.

I really like the Monaco (because of course 😂) and surprisingly thing that Frédérique Constant’s is pretty dope if those planetary bodies move accurately. The FP Journe and Laurent Ferrier are very nice, but perhaps not flashy enough for this event? And yes I would absolutely rock a solid gold Prince Chronograph. 🤙

·

Just saw this, rexhep rexhepi is going to do an anti-magnetic watch for only watch. Not sure if it's similar to a Milgauss or what in terms of anti magnetism...
