Well I have mixed emotions about them, my first watch I got about 10 years ago was a fossil, I still have it to this day and it works. However I think you can get much better watches for the price than a Fossil such as Seiko 5 and Orient. I’d not recommend buying one the QC is hit or miss
Don't do it brother. You can get a better watch for the price and value from Timex, Casio, Seiko, Citizen, even Chinese specials from AliExpress and everything in between. Stay clear from fashion watches. Enjoy this journey in the watch collection world. Stay Thirsty My Man 🍻👊🏽

I have a Swiss Made automatic Fossil that I like. It's a few years old and no longer available. Overall Fossil is about a 6.5 on the "meh" scale

I love the light brown colored hands!
They were my starter watches 20 years ago. Gifts from my kids when they were little. They hold a place in my collection because of that, but there are too many better options now if you want to start collecting.
My short answer is’not much’.
Something to keep in mind is retail has what may be called’pay for display.’ The reason every mall jewelry store and department store (anywhere in the US?) has citizen and bulova displays is that citizen pays for that space. Fossil actually has there own stores. Anyway, that doesn’t make them any good.
I’d put fossil at the same level as citizen, timex, pulsar, etc.. one level above a fashion brand (or spaghetti scametti).
For the price you can do better. IMO
Well made, oversized and overpriced at MSRP.
Without the friendly Fossil sales staff at the local store I wouldn't know which part of the mall to avoid, and which stores tend to get robbed. For that alone they get my respect.
