last days with the Scuba Dude
This 420 Amfibia Scuba Dude on its bicolor Barton strap and Seiko Pepsi bezel is a fun summer watch. The crystal is still fine and I appreciate that being made of acrylic it's also almost completely free of glare and reflections, even under the harshest sun. The "always straight" case back is nice too, despite looking like an inverted ashtray.
The summer is ending and it's probably one of the last time I'll strap it on until 2023.

I'm a big fan of watches that are interesting because they are either unique, have interesting features, well designed or simply offer a great value for their price.

My only complaint on these is the lack of quick set date. I do like that case format.

I would agree on the quick set date issue. I have a single scuba dude with date, and the lack of a quick set date definitely reduces its wrist time.
I'm sure it's served you well this summer. My colourful divers are gradually working their way back into the box too, including my ScubaDude.
Maybe Colorforms can make a ScubaDude dry suit so he be used well into the winter.

Changing bezels on an Amfibia is so easy it's almost a crime not to do it.
Since we're showing them off... here's my #710059. The #scubadude is such an iconic mascot - I can't think of any other mascots for other watchmakers - you'd think #seiko or #citizen would have one :-)
