Ha, I was in high school when Daddy Yankee rose to prominence 😀 so I am familiar with the individuals. Reggeaton came a long way since in large part to those fellas and everybody and their dog listened to Despacito. Gotta give them some credit for what they have done.

I don't really understand the "bashing" and I say that as someone who thinks a watch over 100,000€ is nuts. If an RM is a medium through which J Balvin wants to express his success, then by all means. I think it suits his style to be honest.

Never understood this brand. Watches are ugly af and they are WAY over hyped and priced. I know some people like them for a status symbol but I don't know anybody that awaits new releases or is excited when talking about these things. I don't think I will ever be able to get on this hype trian for these ugly wrist accessories.

It’s a GShock for people with insane amounts of discretionary income. Never understood why people are so upset by them! I’d probably never buy one if I had the means, just not my style, but man do I get hyped for the owner if I see one.

It’s like seeing someone rev a Lamborghini. Yes it’s completely obnoxious. It’s still a masterpiece of engineering and design. Even if you’d rather have an ‘insert more tasteful car here.’

I agree! It’s not for me… then again it was never meant for me! Will be interesting to see how popular they will be in 10 years as trends change. I’m glad it exists though. Would love to try one on in person one day.

Also J Balvin is huge in the music industry. He’s even sponsored by Nike and has his own successful collaborations with them.

Still don't get it. I guess 3.2 mil for something you wear on the wrist doesn't make sense to us that don't have it.
