What's your first automatic watch?

This is my Seiko SNZH55K1 and it was my first automatic watch that i bought more than two years ago. It restarted my passion for watches and i remember watching through the case back for so long and admiring how the movement works😁. I bought it just because i liked the way it looks. Now i love it for many more reasons! What was your first automatic watch?

Love it! you never forget your first automatic! a few years ago before I really knew the difference between automatic and quartz I happen to come across a little shop in the corner of a mall, It was a tiny little watch shop and I bought a white dial Buler pro champion diver. A year later I tried looking up the brand and it is as if they were wiped off the planet. But I love it and because its so odd and unknown I love it even more! Cheers 🍻

You're absolutely right, sir. There is a special connection with the first automatic watch. Cheers my friend. 😉

My first automatic is this Orient Classis. I got it from Santa ;) after hours of research. It was to be classy, elegant and to match all the shirts I wore everyday (prior the home office time). Even though it doesn’t have that much wrist time nowadays, I still like to wear it from time to time. Oh, one more thing. It has a see-through caseback. Something each first automatic watch should have :)

My first automatic was the citizen pepsi diver the smaller jdm model cost less than 100 quid. Still got it and its still pretty darn accurate.

That is exactly what I had in mind :) another thing I really enjoyed was (and still is) the power reserve indicator. Not that common thing but really helpfull for me at the beggining

Absolutely! I wish more watches had that feature, especially so well displayed on the dial.👏🏼

The SNZH55 was my 2nd watch, and the one that got me into modding! Mine came out of the box with a scratched bezel insert, and instead of sending it back I ordered a 55 fathoms style bezel insert and swapped that in. Also had more Nato straps than I could count! Got lots of wear, until I eventually gifted it to a friend

Still looks amazing especially with the tiny scratches that makes it better for me. I think you have to give that bad boy a little wrist time and it will make you smile, for sure.😉

Just order it from jomashop the other day. 🙂 Love the size, the dial, the red tip on the second hand. That's why i think I'll always have mine first with me. Cheers 🍻

Cartier Pasha Seatimer (not a photo of actual one - too lazy). From 2006, bought 2012, still have her. Only had vintage mechanicals and the odd quartz before.

1966 Omega Seamaster DeVille.  (Not shown because the watchmaker has not relinquished it.) I have worn it more than any other watch that I have owned.

·

My first automatic watch was the Tissot PRS 516. At the moment it is my only watch with a Swiss Movement everything else is running Japanese Movements. I think I've had it for close to 10 years now and I've never had it serviced and it still keeps great time.

I've been giving some thought to getting a SNZH55K1 and doing a Fifty Fathoms Inspired Mod to it.

The first automatic watch which I purchased new by myself (with my wife’s approval 😗) was this Seiko SKX009.

You never forget your first. Mine was a Breitling Colt. Stayed with me for 9 years before moving on to another owner. I am still quite fond of it and do miss it sometimes.

Absolutely great choices, to go back to actual watches and the watch itself. 👏🏼
