I’ve seen lots of amazing photos of people sharing experiences when they were able to handle some rare and amazing watches. So far on your watch journey, what’s the most insane timepiece you’ve been able to actually interact with? Totally subjective. Insane can be driven by rarity, price, material, etc..
For me it was when my AD let me try on an F.P. Journe Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante in platinum. My favorite part of the interaction (because my brain is broken) was when my AD asked me, out of the blue, “watch to see some watch porn?” 🤣. At first I was like, what a weirdo. Then he showed me the watch and I was like, yes, he described it correctly.
Very fun day.

But, honestly, I think we need to see some of @JourneID's wristshots!
Citizen Thermo-Drive, uses body heat to charge the capacitor. Didn't work well in tropical climes because the air needs to be colder than the body temperature to work.
Their hour strikers are pretty fun as well.

LOL! I'll miss morning talk radio on a commute, late night, Saturday Night Live (not sure what I'm missing there anymore) a few months at the Comfey Store etc. It would kill me to miss your posts! You know watches I love and you post funny shit! Love it

I was looking at digital watches on AliExpress and ran across this number, so of course, I had to order one.😂 It was $5 including shipping. 🤣
I have had some seriously rare watches on my wrist, some of which I was not allowed to take pictures of. One of the coolest ones was the IWC Pallwebber jump hour and minute. I have had rarer and more expensive but the unusual complication in this one always impressed me
I tried on the Armin Strom Pure Resonance yesterday at Topper Jewelers in Burlingame, CA here in the Bay Area. This is the first resonance watch where the gears are on the dial side and is ”affordable compared to the FP Journe counterpart.

A hidden gem one might even say.
So I own a Bubble - unashamed to admit it.
and a cal.k1002 VC - these are not that common as they apparently made around 24 of these movements a year.
Custom Roamer - has an enhanced verdigris dial
Yes, that is gorgeous! And it gives me tingly sensations in the down belows.
But, really? Really? Would you wear that out in public? Like, you know, to your kid's chess tournament, let's say. And all the other parents are there. And you're mingling, and someone notices your watch and says, "Hey, that looks cool. What is it?" Normally, you'd show that person the watch, and if they're not a watch person, they'd just say, "I like it!" And then you'd talk about setting up a playdate for your kids.
If I wore that, I don't think we'd be setting up a playdate for my kid with theirs!
That's actually pretty dope.

I didn't realize it was so cheap to ship things from the future.

If I bought it, that one would elicit either an eye roll or an involuntary psych eval from the wife. 😂
I actually just got this one in today for my wife. It is the only style of digital watch she likes, so I found one for her.

I was lucky enough to see and try on the JLC Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Enamel (as well as the other two released at the same time). Amazing! I just missed the Westminster Chime by a couple of days
A good friend lent me his PP 5205G for a few days, first time I've had one on the wrist and it was 😍😍😍

This is my most treasured watch. It was love at first sight for me. I am in love with the dial.
It has a different look from different angles.

That is an amazing piece. Maybe one day I’ll be fortunate enough.

Thank you my friend. And I am sure you will. I am an old man already. This is my only luxury piece. By the time you’re my age, I‘m sure you’ll have a couple of ALS, FPJs and others in your collection. 🍻
