Adjustable 19mm Strap/Bracelets Suggestions

I currently have 2 Grand Seiko watches in my collection.  I love them both, and wear them as often as possible.  I really don't love the bracelets, in particular during a heatwave when my wrists and fingers tend to take on a sausage like appearance.  For my SBGA407 this is less of an issue as the watch came with a beautiful (in my opinion) blue leather strap.  That can be adjusted, but I typically wear it on the GS bracelet I ordered for it because I prefer a more casual look.  My SLGH009 came on the ever brilliant steel bracelet, which I believe to be the only option GS presented.

I have seen lots of posts from other GS owners on this platform, are there any suggestions for straps/bands/bracelets that would go well with the SLGH009 and SBGA407?  And it must have some sort of adjustment system, ability, ness, included.  I feel like I know so little about good manufacturers out in there in the world.

Interesting, most people will only wear the bracelet or rubber straps in the warmer weather because outside of swimming in it, nothing ruins a leather strap faster than sweat.

If you want leather, I generally hit up a number of custom strap makers on Etsy. For $50 to $100 you can get a strap that would easily sell for $300+ if you had bought something similar through an AD.  You can search prev threads for recommendations, but here are some of my favs:

It doesn't have to be leather by any means, I prefer something sweat proof, but it just needs to be adjustable.  I feel like as soon as I leave my house the watch becomes too tight.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I would recommend one of the following:

@Jericho will make you a truly, one-of-a-kind bespoke strap.

Alternately, delugs.com make fantastic straps for very reasonable prices.

The strap on my Oris pro pilot comes with a strap that has a very interesting and very eAsy adjustable clasp…I think you can get any leather or sailcloth. I like it because you can adjust it anytime by sliding the strap…

I think it will work with any strap. Maybe an Oris AD can get you the clasp. I’m thinking of getting an extra one since like you I keep adjusting my bracelets and straps…I’ll talk to my AD if he can get me one If you interested all ask for two

I have purchased from Mansarea from Spain and they make excellent leather straps designed to your specifications. I recommend them highly.

I have a couple of the straps now in the collection (same colors but different lug widths):

I've also purchased from www.Strappedfortime.com, they made some customs straps for me exactly to my specifications and the straps are fantastic. Again two different lug widths - and they accommodated my request for curved ends/curved spring bars for the ONSA as straight ends would not fit (pretty typical on 1970s Swiss chronographs).

Awesome, thank you for the recommendations!

I had a bit of a similar conundrum with my old King Quartz and settled on a Delugs waxed canvas. It's weather resistant thanks to the waxing and lined with rubber. The rubber can get grabby, since it's smooth, but it's nice all weather strap overall.

I've been meaning to try an Artem sail cloth, but I'm waiting for the navy blue version to come out in 19mm, which I think would pair nicely with my SBGV005. I'm sure the 20mm could be squeezed in, but since the black one comes in 19mm, I'd rather wait.

I like the sounds of the waxed canvas.  I am a very sweaty person in general, so that sounds like it's built for me.  Also, great piece.

Have you tried an ever adjustable 0.6 mesh/milanese bracelet? It's quite cool and comfortable on wrist. No sweat issues with me, especially as I live in a tropical country. Here's mine on my #snkl41

Hehe, no bud. Wherever you can get one will be fine. Just make sure it's the 0.6 variant. The thicker 1.0 variant is stiffer and less comfortable. Got mine from our local online store Lazada for just $4.00!! It's like AliExpress. Made in China but quality is good. Plus, it uses quick release spring bars. 🍻

So much to learn…

Hehe, I just learned that info from one of the online sellers, who included a pic showing the different size variations of Mesh/Milanese bracelets. Don't have that pic now on my phone.

But as example, this is the 0.6 size...

This is the 1.0 size...

Ohh, must be related to the gauge of the steel. That makes sense.
