Thanks and I'm with you. That's why I specifically got this model because unbeknownst to the eye, the bottom layer is Hirsch's performance rubber, and this hybrid leather/ rubber strap is water resistant to 300m as well. Get the benefits of rubber and the class of leather in one package
For sure....I think my closeup shots make it look more cluttered. In real everyday use, at a quick glance the watch is extremely legible and easy to know what you're looking at. The sub dials almost take a step back unless you're trying to read them
Honestly it's been the Grand Seiko...probably because i'm still honeymooning with it as it was my most recent purchase a few weeks ago. It's such a well built watch in almost every way. True definition of pictures do not do it any justice as well.
The Panerai is a close second because...well it's a fricking Panerai lol. It just has such an amazing presence and unique design. I like that mine is titanium as well as don't like the shinier/polished Panerai models as much because size combined with bling is something i shy away from.
Fully agree man. Don't get me wrong, the "typical" Grand Seiko models like the ____Flakes etc are beautiful. But Seiko knows divers, and combined with spring drive and stellar finishes, you have a near perfect tool watch in my opinion. Now some can nitpick about this model not having 300m, but I think I'll survive at 200m water resist :)
Honestly the lugs are pretty short and curve quickly so it doesn't wear as large as it seems from specs alone. I was skeptical too but it worked out well for me. I had it on bracelet and that definitely made it feel larger so swapping to straps as usual helps as well
