Watches Tonight w/Tim Mosso

Any “Watches Tonight” fans out here in the crunchverse? I swear I feel like I’m back in graduate school when I watch his show. I think of him as the relaxed professor that is clearly in command of the subject but not so removed from being a student himself that he hasn’t become pompous and egotistical. He has a passion for watches and is a master of presentation. I swear, I see a bit of my own teaching style when I watch his watch show.

I was just curious if there was any overlap into this community. I imagine it might be limited in that he tends to focus on the higher end considering who funds his productions, but watch fans range far and wide so I wouldn’t be stunned if this community is full of Tim Mosso fans.

Oh, and if you are a fan, have you sent in viewer wrist-shots? Do you participate in the chat live?

Not sure how I’ve never come across his content on Youtube before. Thanks for giving me something new to check out 👍

·

His face doesn’t match his voice which throws me off 🤣

·

I really get into his videos! I think he’s a very fascinating character, and I enjoy his loving, detailed paeans to the watches that pass through his hands.

I’m subscribed to his YouTube channel.

Cheers!

I've never heard of him, but I'll check him out.

PS: Was that humble brag deliberate? To paraphrase, "This guy's amazing... I see something of myself in him..."? 😜

I didn’t mean to humble brag, haha. I meant that I see that he employs a certain conversational tone despite essentially offering a 40 minute monologue. That’s what I’m known for in my little corner of the world.

I’m a fan. I watch the show most weeks. I’m always learning something from it.

·

I enjoy him quite a bit, too!

I used to watch a lot of videos on YouTube when I was rehabbing a shattered left ankle that took much longer to heal for a few extraordinary reasons, stumbled onto Tim Mosso’s content was really impressed with his almost super powers of recall. The guy has a fantastic memory.

·

I used to watch but haven't in a while, not because it's not great (it is!), but the show's length makes it tough for me to fit into my schedule. I like Tim's content because he has a smaller wrist than me, but when he wears big, chunky watches on his Watchbox reviews, I get to see how they might look on my wrist, which is just a tad larger.

·

I’ve been a fan of Mosso’s reviews for many years.

·

Fan here. Good information, interesting topics, I like his approach of contributing to the community through creation and content education as opposed to consumption by buying pieces.

·

Tim Mosso reviews so many high end watches. It’s a joy watching those videos.

If Tim Mosso hasn’t reviewed a watch, I usually don’t buy it.

·

T Mosso, the long lean lord of WatchBox.

Thanks for logging on.

Any of you send pics to participate in the show? I’ve sent a few. Kinda fun to see your pic make the cut.

Tim is to watches as Jay Leno is to automobiles....He really knows what he is talking about. Enjoy listening to him. Quite a wordsmith..

I keep meaning to send a wrist shot for the show. Seems like the wrist shots inside cars are especially popular on the show.

“Watches and wheels” as he says. Those aren’t my favorite shots, but since he’s a car guy, I see why his team would select those for the show.
