I have been collecting watches for over 40 years - it isn't a hobby or passion it is a "sickness" I most definitely enjoy. Whenever I travel, I try to find vintage watch stores or Authorized Dealers of brands that I collect or am interested in. Whenever I see someone with a cool watch, I always try to strike up a conversation. It is a great way to meet new people and share your thoughts on a brand or learn something new about a watch or person.

IMO - the one you bought is better than the latest iteration. The XX has a contrasting date window. The version you have is seamless. Wear it in good health.
For the watch you posted in the jpeg above -- B+P? essential. For a vintage Seiko Willard B+P - nice to have but not so much...
Poor guy ran out of gas soon after filming the "Getaway" with Ali - a true actor, legend, watch AND Porsche enthusiast. The dude basically financed the entire 24 hours of LeMans movie AND did his own driving...RIP
I wonder if any of his watches ever come up for auction?
