Curious to know if anyone has tried to get a Vostok/Zissou serviced? This one is about 10 years old and runs about 4min fast per day. Fun watch by the way...
I have been collecting watches for over 40 years - it isn't a hobby or passion it is a "sickness" I most definitely enjoy. Whenever I travel, I try to find vintage watch stores or Authorized Dealers o...

Yes, you got the joke LOL! The strap is worth more than the watch but I love it anyway...
I ended up gifting mine to a cousin since the service would have costed more than the actual watch.... and then he went to the beach for holidays and forgot to screw back the crown. The poor watch was destroyed, dial paint washed down, all the movement rusted from the salty water... Still a funnier story than just leaving it forgotten since i would have never serviced it lol. Mine was also around 3min fast

It would be nice to see the "tropical" dial and the watch pop-up on ebay with a starting bid of $897.00 + "Authenticity Guaranteed..."
Yes, it was under $100, can't recall exact amount. It's an easy watch to service by a watch repair shop.
Probably magnetised. Usually a watch will run slow as the oil either gums up or vanishes. The magnetic effects the balance wheel and speeds it up. Demagnetiser are about £10
There is an app " magnetometer", it will show if your watch has become magnetised, and it's freeeeeee. 😊
Thanks!
Demagnetiser for sure, and if it's still too far out you can regulate it easily enough. If you don't have a timegrapher there are apps that will give a decent estimate of gain/loss.
You can probably buy the cheapest watchmaking tools set in Amazon for like $20 plus a demagnetiser and open it and regulate it yourself. You’ll sure save a bit of money.
