I think it's a good release. 11mm thick, h-10 movement, AR coating on the sapphire, no day date complications, the 36mm I think would work great with this all-dial small bezel design. I always liked the hands on these Hamilton pilots.
The price? I think it's worth about 600, but it's 2024, so what do I know?

Personally I would throw these 36mm into the ring:
The GMT watch that was released before the Rolex GMT
I think they got it right. Excellent size but most importantly for my taste they balanced the simple type B dial with enough interesting detail. Many type B pilot dials are just too plain for my taste although that is an intentional move to serve the purpose. In this new release you get type b functionality which I love with a dial that isn't boring. I do wish it was less money.

Exactly. I wish it is cheaper too. I like the purity of the type B, making time reading so easy !
I like Hamilton generally, have owned quite a few, but I find that one a bit dull. They have lots of more interesting models in that price range for me. Opinions of course.
oh i like what they’ve done with the hour track and the tip of the hour hand to encircle the current hour as the hand rides over the numerals. that’s a nice touch. and the minute hand blocks off the hour track and points just to the minute track. that’s cool!

Exactly ! Which is why i find very easy to read. Truly a "pilot's watch"

I'm a huge pilot watch enthusiast but this ain't it for me. Seems Hamilton just stitched bunch of models together into a 36mm.

Nice piece. What reference is that ?

Was always put off by the day/date on other models. Love the look of the no date, however 36mm is too small for me.

Personally I would throw these 36mm into the ring:
The GMT watch that was released before the Rolex GMT
Glycine Airman
This Hami:
Which was an actual pilots watch in the 70s
Stowa also has a nice more pricey 36mm

Love all the models u stated, just that Glycine is too complicated for me. All good looking tho

100% the Glycine is quite confusing. I started my pilot watch Journey with a Seiko Flight Master
Then the Citizen Blue Angels:
So I love useless busy dials on Pilot watches.

I think it’s wonderful
Very similar to others from Hamilton.
Nice design and two size options, one too big, the other too small (imho).

What about Laco? I got an offer of a Laco Bielefeld 39mm on ebay for $300. Is is worth it? I love a pilot watch but haven’t got one.

Love those off lume portions on the hour/minute hands
To be honest I find the choice of hands very odd and off-putting. I like the dial and case shape though. Ultimately, not for me…
Good watch 👍💕
Looks great. And priced accordingly to what Hamilton's go for these days.
I don’t like the hands. Its a bit confusing.
Hamilton’s aren’t worth it at MSRP. I really like their stuff and I own a KFA, but I like the KFA for the $400 I paid…
I'd wear it but there are definitely better Hamiltons out there.

Oh, the trusty Seiko Fightmaster, once I qualified as a commercial pilot, that was my first watch for the next 10 years and I used its features daily.
I like the hour hand circling the inner numeral, very unique!

If you like the dial, go for it. 😁 Great watch Lacos.
