My first PRX is blue dial quartz but I like the waffled textured dial but they're only selling on a automatic. So I pulled the trigger ๐
Yesterday it arrived! And to my surprised AD gave me PRX rubber strap for free!

Who cares if some people hate them? It's a good watch and value and if you get enjoyment out of it that's all that matters.
So straight up I wouldnโt buy one but thatโs because of the integrated straps which are a bit of a no no for me.
I certainly admire them and I can see the appeal.
Two things mean they are growing a little old though:
I thought the digital release was a little cynical by Tissot - or at least the pricing was - and I thought they were better than that. Itโs also undermined the PRX just a little for me.
A bit like an overplayed song (or indeed GMT watches) too much exposure in a short period of time takes the shine off a little (for me). Which is a shame as I can see the appeal but c.75% plus of Tissot postings currently seem to be PRXs and the Tissot range has so much more to offer.
So while I am thrilled for those that have found love I hope that Tissot doesnโt focus on the range to the detriment of other lines.
And - while on Tissot - I really wish they would beef up the WR of the Heritage line of watches.
Not my cup of tea due to the integrated bracelet.
The quartz is the one to go for tho, that's where the value is, unlike the auto with it's plastic escapement.
Hopefully people will hate them even more and sell them so I can pick up some more colours and models โฆ.love the Prx
Hate is a strong word, I think that's an exaggeration
I like the PRX chrono myself but for that price you can find better imo
I bought the mint green 35mm quartz version and love it. At the mo, I just buy watches I want/enjoy regardless of whether they are quartz, automatic or mechanical. It's all about enjoying the watch and not worrying about what others think. You are the one wearing it ๐๐๐ฝ
cheers
Love mine ๐ haters gonna hate ๐คฃ

That's true, but if have a lot timepiece I don't think that escapement where Tissot cheaps out will matter.
Congrats! I love my PRX as well, despite its small shortcomings. My main issue with the watch is the protruding midcase on the back, which IMO should be 1-2 mm slimmer for optimal fit (e.g. what CW have down with The Twelve). Still, given the price it's an exceptional and very versatile watch.
A lot of people complain about the plastic escapement and the laser regulation, but for me it's not a big deal. Mine runs pretty accurately (+2-3 spd) and probably it'd be cheap to service (even if not everyone will be able to do it), so that's fine.
This is a watch I actually prefer on the rubber or their leather strap
Stick with your plan of buying watches YOU like!

Yep I really like mine on the Tissot rubber

Interesting, can you share some alternatives?
I get what I want without worrying what others think, personally ID love to get a PRX.
i really like the tissot prx but i hate that it just doesnโt look right on my wrist. :(
Mine keeps accurate time and love the power reserve ๐
Congratulations and welcome to the PRX club!
Itโs a good integrated bracelet watch but mine doesnโt always live on the braceletโฆ
I love them and prefer the quartz and smooth dials over the waffle
Welcome to the club! Easy value and joy to be had with the PRX. Donโt listen to anyoneโs opinions. Theyโre just opinions.

Junghans, Hamilton and Bulova come to mind but even something like a very lightly used TAG F1 or Longines could fit the bill
Congrats, it looks good on you! I love the model but unfortunately even the 35mm is big for my small wrist.
Welcome to the club, you will grow to love having more than one or two of them ๐ #tissot #prxpowermatic80 for the win
