The Air King is one of those that made me take a second look when I first noticed them. Why is it called Bloodhound?

I ❤️ mine too. Got it in 2016, the moment I saw it on the Rolex website I knew it was the one for me. Some critics considered it a Frankenstein and at the time watch people were 50/50. It was like Vegemite. I still prefer the Milgauss case, no crown protectors looks more symmetrical and it should be a “5” not “05” nonsense. Also a modest clasp with quick 1/2 link adjustment. For years it was my daily beater 🤣so it has the war marks to prove it.

I agree with you 100%. The Milguass case is the best. I have mixed feelings regarding the new Air King. I haven't seen one in the wild yet. But in most cases the original is always best.

Exactly. When you get to my age you stop worrying about what other people think and you do what makes you happy. Wow you have the new Air King. Looks good. As I stated before I haven't seen one of these in the wild yet. I must pop into my A.D and try one on. 🙂 Now that's a dangerous thought. 🤣🤣

You are correct mostly enthusiasts. Non ethusiasts find the Air King stunning but can't get their head around wearing a luxury timepiece when you can tell the time on your phone. I find that rather amusing. 😆

I had one of these. It’s a great piece and different from the norm. After a year I found my love for it had waned and sold it. No regrets at all. Proves that we all have different tastes and should celebrate whatever makes us happy!

My Airking is beautiful to me. Rugged and durable, legible. I absolutely don’t give a fart in a hurricane for anyone else’s opinion about it! I have, in my opinion, the finest Rolex ever made…

If I were buying a Rolex it would be the Air King. I like that it’s ’different’ from the rest of he steel sports watches.
