New to this network. Used to collect bass guitars but that got expensive and hard to hide from the Mrs! ;-)
Always loved and admired watches but was never into collecting or paying a lot for them. Recently built an interest along with my son in quality and good-value automatic watches. Looking forward to learning more and seeing what others are up to.
Got word of this site while watching a YouTube video.
Cheers!

You think it’s any better in this hobby? Ha!
P.S.: Welcome to the Crunch!
Welcome!
Maybe you could convert an old bass guitar case to a watch case to hide the collection!
Happy hunting!
I lost count of the basses that I owned! Sold the lot, amps as well.
The octave mandolin is smaller but has more strings to keep in tune!
Lol wait until you fall down the rabbit hole. A new watch is usually hard to miss from my wife, and once they start actually listen to you and over hear some YouTube channel about how much some obscure watch cost…. The dog house usually has the same view
Oh man, you fall into the wrong hobby if you want to save some money 😅
Oh well, since you're here already, welcome!
Ciao Walter.
Welcome
Welcome to the crunch!
Welcome good sir!
I think collecting watches can get pretty expensive unless you're really disciplined.
Good thing they're easier to hide from the Mrs. though! You and your son can team up on that as well! 😉

Less expensive? No way. But a heck of a lot easier than trying to beat the FedEx guy home before he has your wife sign for a guitar box the size of an 8 year old. Lol
Welcome, welcome!! Similar story here, but with guitars of the 6 string variety. Marginally easier to employ the old “oh, I’ve had this one forever” with a watch as well. Haha
Welcome to the madness
Welcome to the community! The boxes watches come in are much smaller than guitars!
Hey, welcome to WC!

I will always keep a few on hand to play and for the occasional gig though.

Thanks! Yes, that's my problem, I like nice things and wines too. 🙄

Will try and control myself!
Welcome! Bass is excellent; so is trout! Ha! You’ll like it here - and watches might be slightly less expensive than guitars/amps/effects etc. Have fun!
Welcome 🙋♂️
Welcome to the Crunch! The more, the merrier! 🥳
Welcome! Trading vise for another. Watches are choice. Watches are smaller, the styles are endless, you can make your own price point and there’s always one on your wrist to appreciate.
Happy hunting.

Thanks. Here's an old photo of me playing bass...
