Where to buy?

Where do you guys purchase your watches from? Like, do you guys buy from the official site, Amazon, Jomashop, or any boutique where they sell watches? I'm asking this because I've seen watches at different prices at different places. I guess another question I have is, should you always buy from the official website or is it okay to buy from sites like Amazon and Jomashop?

Mostly used from eBay. They have a verification process so I know I'm safe.

Also I swap on Facebook forums (takes a bit of trust, but I've done maybe 8-9 trades & not been ripped off yet. )

I'm 53 and been collecting like this since 2012.

Hope that helps! 👍🏻

Same as @Inkitatus eBay is the best spot to buy watches. Especially for open box/ store display watches.

I use WatchRecon and troll eBay for brands I like. Then purchase from eBay, r/watchexchange, or Watchuseek for used.

Then Amazon, Joma, Creation Watches, Kohls, Macy's, etc whoever has the best pric for new.

Finally I like to read stuff and research microbrands so if I find one I like, and I have the funds, I buy through them.

Only been to an AD for a few pieces for the wife.

Jomashop is totally fine, I've bought quite a few from them. Ashford is another good place to checkout. Chrono24 is also very good

Amazon, eBay, CreationWatches, Jomashop

I buy my watches from ADs, most of them from one particular AD, because (1) I don’t know (or want to know) how to size a bracelet, and (2) I value a comfortable and friendly buying environment.

·

I buy my luxury watches at a brick and mortar AD. Mid tier and down, I get online at reputable ADs or grey market dealers.

·

I buy from bricks and mortar from a seller who is honest and tells me everything I need to know about a targeted watch, after sales, warranty, feedback from guys who have bought the same item. I do pay more, even compared to other ads where I have less history but buying a watch blindly is not my regular method shopping for a next item.

Bezos and Joma have never done me dirty…

EBay has some shady mofos. If it’s too good to be true…

Just throwing this out there to any one who uses Jomashop or Watchmaxx. Be sure to compare prices with their ebay stores. Ive seen models being sold from Joma through ebay up to $50 cheaper than the already discounted prices on their official site.

Same watch, 2 platforms. different price. No idea why but something to keep in mind.

Jomashop, EBay, Watches of Switzerland

I had pretty good experience with Chrono24, for a slightly used watch.

Also I bought at the microbrand websites: For July 4th, Spinnaker, Zelos and CW had 30% off.

I bought once at Amazon, Ebay and AliExpress.
