What Would Your Three-Watch Tudor Collection Be?

What would your three-watch Tudor collection be? I've contemplated this for some time now while trying to decide if I want either two or three Tudors. I could easily see myself owning more but I'm trying to become even more selective so that the pieces I keep are meaningful and the collection doesn't get too large.

The Pelagos 39 is my number one choice from Tudor. I like that Tudor’s divers have their own history and some unique design elements that make them stand out. I also prefer the much more brushed or matte look that you get in modern Tudor divers over more polished options.

The Pelagos FXD is probably my second favorite Tudor at this time. It’s just different enough from the P39 that they fit well together into a collection too. I do ponder sometimes if the FXD Chrono might be worth trying for even more variety of function.

The Ranger is a tough one for me. I simultaneously love it while struggling to avoid comparing it to the Rolex Explorer which I like even more. It seems that if I’m going to have an Explorer in the collection, perhaps the money put toward the Ranger would be better spent in another watch that adds more variety.

One thing that gives me pause as well as that none of these three have dates. I do have other watches with dates but it would be great if Tudor could figure out how to deliver a movement with a date on a watch under 13mm thick.

So, what would your top 3 choices from Tudor be?

White GMT, 58 and Chrono reverse panda. I own no Tudors at the moment, but have been interested in those for a while now. Cheers!

I think the white dial gmt, a 54 and a Ranger. 😉

·

P39, 41 red Bezel, and a dress watch.

Great choices! I really like the blue Black Bay 58 as well. The GMT might end up being the third watch in the Tudor collection but probably only if they can find a way to make it a bit thinner.

Great set of Tudors! I like the variety of functions represented there!

I have a self imposed rule of one watch per brand. Whether I stick to it is a different question…

However to answer your intriguing question id go with

1) my bb54 (obviously)

2) blackbay 36 champagne

3) pelagos 39

OR

  1. Bb54

  2. Fxd

  3. Pro

I admire your strength to stick with the rule! I started out with that rule but then struggled with the fact that once I got one piece from a brand that I really liked, it made me want more. I eventually just settled on the idea that I would need to own less different brands to make a little room for more than one here and there. I've heard amazing things about the BB54 so glad to see that you are enjoying it! Good luck resisting the others 😀

Lets see...These are the last three Tudors still in my collection..I think they will stay for awhile!!

I already have my Ranger so I’d add a P39 and an Opaline BBGMT. Really some of my favorites available.

·

I have the Pelagos 39 and I'm very happy with it!! Some people obviously like larger dive watches, and the larger Pelagos is fantastic. Personally I really like the BB58 Blue. And then I would go BB 36mm (honestly rather have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 though 😄)

Pelagos, North Flag and Royal

Pelagos 39, all the reasons you’ve mentioned! I’d get the newer chronometer blue dial 36 on the jubilee, not as ‘Explorer’ as the black dial on the oyster. Then if it has to be a model currently on sale, something like the ceramic to mix it up with a little bit extra!

·

FXD, FXD and FXD. It’s that good!

But if you pressed me in to picking three different ones.

  • FXD (I’ve got black, the blue also appeals)

  • Black Bay 54 - for the relatively smaller size and the nice bracelet.

  • Black bay black ceramic. For the stealthy look, interesting material (this would give me one titanium, one steel and one ceramic) and awesome movement.

These would make a great set too! I haven't tried any of the Royal line but they look great.

That FXD does look fantastic! I had already bonded with the Pelagos 39 before the black FXD was announced and it definitely made me rethink thing. Ultimately, I love the P39 on such a light and comfortable bracelet and that's what makes me lean toward another color dial in the FXD.

I already have mine.

My 1st - 43mm Heratige Black Bay Bronze

My second - the Ranger

And my 3rd - Harrod’s Black Bay I picked up while in London last spring.

That's a terrific set! The bronze 43 seems to wear pretty large but it looks great on your wrist!

Thank you! The RubberB strap really helps it lay on the wrist properly.

Seems like pretty popular choices in the comments! All great watches.

My three Tudors. Big bang for buck.
