The watches are sold in comission. I can understand that the seller wants the max price for his watch but 12k for a Sub is pretty expensive.

18k for the Batgirl! man alive I'm never going to get a GMT MII
They are all way over priced for what they are.
Offer 5.
Pay it…in pennies
pass.
Better to endlessly bug an AD to pay retail (still a hefty price tag) than pay these prices. It's free to text , call, and stop by an AD to bug the crap out if them
That answers that question. I heard about the certified Rolex resale experiment in Europe and I imagine these are exemplary of the results. evidently the AD's are free to charge what they want though I would imagine Rolex gives some "guidance". These prices are lower than what the secondary market has been charging. Still, I will patiently wait for a brand new one at MSRP. Been pretty successful with this tactic though I did reprioritize models recently. Still after that Batgirl.

Depends on your relationship with your AD. Never give up hope. It may take years but.... 👍
One of my local jewelers had two very clean Explorer 36 models in stock (new version). I don't even want to guess what they wanted for them.
Were these part of the official Rolex CPO program were you get a service card and 2 yr warranty
Didn't even bother nicely aligning the watches and price tags. I mean 😏 ...

Yeah, I'm in that process with my AD for an Air King currently. In fairness, I probably need to wait years in order to save up the cash for one anyway!

So this is my local Rolex AD and he sells the watches of his clients for his clients. But I didn‘t ask if they also come with the 2 year warranty and service card etc. But at that price they better come with 2 year warranty :)
In fairness this same AD also called me up for a Exp 1 in 36mm before the new release of the 40mm. They got great customer support but the point which im trying to make here is that the prices are way too high.

They are rather over priced
I'm an impatient person, but that's too much to pay to get into something faster than waiting for the AD! Sheesh.
It's actually come down quite a bit from what I they were in 2020 when prices were at minimum 2x retail lol
Sky dweller is amazing!
Those are over retail. Surely not worth it. Retail is inflated already.. unless you just want to donate to rolex or your AD
