GADA watch

Hey WatchCrunchers! What is everyone's GADA watch? Yes, last year my wife and I had the good fortune of buying a his and hers Longines. The Longines Dolce Vita Quartz for the wifey and for me the Longines Master Collection Triple Date Moonphase (white dial). But they are both 3-bar WR. So they are not candidates or a GADA watch.. my candidates are:

  1. Seiko 5 GMT

  2. Tag Heuer Formula 1

  3. Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 6

  4. Tissor PRX Ice Blue dial

what are your additions to the list?

I just added this Tudor Prince to my collection and I feel pretty confident in calling it a GADA watch

·

My most worn watch last year was my Polar Explorer II. I wore it more than my second and third most worn watches combined.

Im today years old learning what chappeau means. Thank you🍻🍻🍻

Wearing mine right now. I was running errands and then cooking. This watch looks great anywhere and is water resistant with solid durability.

My Columbia CL7010, Eddie Bauer Triple Calendar, or an HMT (all 3 under $100)

Need I say more

Tag F1 is a bold choice for sure! I’m a big diver fan, but I’d say a Nivada Super Antarctic might be my pick for a GADA watch. Or a Nodus Sector Sport, one price tier down.

Don't even get me started. It's all I can do to keep myself from going on a Tudor Prince bender

Love that watch, especially on a NATO.

I’m guilty of using the term GADA (I just did on another post a minute ago), but I don’t believe it’s a real thing. Any watch you’re comfortable wearing during most/all of your activities is basically a GADA watch. I wouldn’t have thought of the PRX, but if you’re comfortable with it all the time, there you go. Then again, I don’t think of the Tank as a GADA, but I’d wear it for anything except swimming and rock climbing.

Haha leave some for the rest of us! Love the small shield on yours, is that a black or blue dial?

I don't understand this watch. Hour numerals are huge even if you can tell the hour whithout numerals But the date is a minuscule hole, and you have to use one microscope to read it. Whyyy???

Grand Seiko 9F any

GADA is only for the watch you been using for years and you’re Shure that now is part of your wrist. You don’t worry if look good or not, it has tried for so long that you can use it with bracelets or straps. Go with you to the pool or a fancy club, dive with you, drive with you, run with you, work with you, love with you. In my case an American with Japanese heart INVICTA Grand Diver.

The only watch I’ll truly take anywhere and do anything with is a steel g shock.

This, I know it's not a fancy auto but it takes the knocks well and has multiple uses!

Hands down the best watch I've ever used during a deployment was a Garmin Fenix. Smart watches might not be good for watchnerds, but I can't deny their usefulness in real life.

Agreed. I run a lot and rarely take this off, the others in the collection barely get a look in!!

Guess you have to ask Citizen about that one....lol! I'm not a date guy so I don't care how small it is. Not a big fan of quartz either, so the EcoDrive/solar aspect frees me from battery replacement. This is just a grab and go....300 meters of water resistance may be overkill for some, but the watch will hold up if you want to swim with it. That's why!!!

I think it will be my recent acquisition, Steinhart Adventure Classic 39.

I know it's an homage, but I prolly will never willing to spent a fortune for the actual think so just buy this to get a taste on the styling 😬

To my surprise, it is very well made.

Casio and Timex

These are great esp that Timex. I know there's that Patek textured dial that now oddly looks a lot like Timex's here. Funny how that is.

·

My previous gen, black dial, 39mm Longines Conquest is my GADA.
