Newbie

Hi Everyone,

My mom bought me my first watch, a Casio calculator back in the late 70's, then a Citizen dresswatch in the early eighties, then nothing for years, never wore a watch until I bought a nice Seiko some 15 years ago. More recent history saw me join Watchgang, received a couple of watches then quit that and my son and I got the bug. Now we are all in, consumed with horology and watches, hoping to buy an Omega/Rolex/Tudor/AP/PP someday but for now our budget is $50-$1500. Oh, my crown jewel is a 1951 JLC given to my grandfather, Thomas Rivington, in England by the lace company he worked for, Levin Bros of Nottingham UK.

Welcome to the WC buddy 😉

50 to 1500. That's more than you need for a great proper watch. Even from brands with rich history. You can build up even a whole collection with 1500.

Welcome to our round

$50- $1500 is a pretty good window. Plenty to enjoy out there. Welcome to the addiction... I mean WatchCrunch. Sorry 😂

The Watch Gang concept got me interested, too. I never got a subscription, but my I purchased my first automatic from their "wheel." It was a decent deal, too. After doing research on it -- bam! I was infected by the watch collecting bug!
