Who doesn't love a Rolex Explorer or Rolex in general, but sometimes we just have to get a cheaper alternative to scratch that itch.

if you have no problem with 1:1 homages go for the Steinhart Adventure, otherwise i'd go for the Nivada
If you want something tough, albeit with a different hour hand shape: Traska Summiteer.
It has the vibes, but has its own personality and is a highly capable tool if you need it to be. The Seiko Alpinist - in any colourway.
If you must go the Rolexalike route, the Nevada for sure. Or the Lorier falcon @UnholiestJedi mentioned. They have the elements, but maintain their own take on the style.

I was gonna suggest that, it's kind of a Rolex as well, but cheaper and probably easier to get hold of. I had the last release on a bund strap and it looked fantastic - one of the only watches I regret moving on as it happens.
I know it is a pain to deal with Timefactors, so much of a pain it is usually easier to source through the secondary market. And yet, it is still the most attractive option.
Lorier Falcon. No Mercedes hands is an immediate upgrade.
