Why is it that a particular wrists watch can be perfect for one person but hated by the other? Let me give you an example. I have been given this watc...
From my experience, rarely do people care. I'd sometimes get compliments for the watch I'm wearing, but usually if I don't start the conversation – no one would speak about watches (except the fellow enthusiast).
I know exactly what you're talking about, and in my humble opinion the issue boils down to some form of pear pressure. I got into watches maybe 20 years ago after buying a Fossil watch. I'm not a collector, more like an enthusiast. Only after discovering the watch community I developed this "love to hate" mentality when it comes to certain brands of wrist watches. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate that.
We're weird creatures influenced by taste, habit, culture etc. and if we tried to explain those certain things to someone who has none of the same quirks they would have trouble understanding it.
Whenever I think "G-Shock", this is the picture that comes to mind - The Square.
