IIcohow-wowyp duel 10: Tissot PRS 516 vs. Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical

If I could only have one watch - which one would you chose? Swatch group shootout between two really different watches. Tissot PRS 516 45mm of retro racing or Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm of military history Choose wisely!

43mm is my limit, so Hamilton KFM it is. Next! 😛

This Hamilton is lovely on a nato strap, you will forget you’re wearing it and it can follow you almost everywhere.

Tomorrow will feature two watches under 43mm, won't be as easy 😎

·

Fun fact: I dailied the PRS for a year - a 240g watch. Contrary to my expectations my left arm didn't develop into body builder dimensions 🙄

·

I love a field watch but I don't know.  That Tissot looks mighty sexy in that setup.

The Tissot should be something for you size wise 🙂

The Tissot is huge and huge watches are an immediate no for me. Khaki Field any day.

·

I often like to think:

’If I was stuck on a desert island like in Castaway, would this be handy?’

In which case, I would like to know the day and the date, and the more functions the better.

Field watches are second only to dress watches. I would like to pretend that I know or care what a tachymetre is. I know I've looked it up before. Technically it is something besides visual noise.

·

Easy for Hamilton. Didn't think even for a second.

The sole function of the tachymeter is so you can tell the person sitting next to you "over the last km we were driving at an average of 160 km per hour" only to get a weird look back.

45mm is too large for me.

The KFM is my 4th bet for the semi finals, I think it hits the right spot for many.

Seeing the polls every day made me realise I must reduce my collection - that's just too many watches! 🙄

It's really monstrous. 45mm, 15mm thick, 55mm effective lug to lug 😮

The PRS world allow you to time your runs around the island 👌

There’s a lot of science you’d need to be applying to boil stuff etc… and navigation for maps.
I can count well enough that a 24 hour clock reminder would be useless xD

Whereas days and dates would get lost pretty easily if not careful. Plus, I hate not getting the day right in my diary already, let alone when it would be a log of such things…

·

Hamilton....and I own this model so have to vote for it!

·

My Hamilton Field Khaki is my favorite watch, so I would have to vote for it.

·

I like the Khaki family, but this isn't my favorite member... I would make it work with the Tissot, but I probably would need to swap straps 🤔

·

Hammy's too small, and I abhor a 13-24 scale on any dial, so wahey! Tissot rules - Ham drools!

I thought that is what the polls are about. You will reduce the collection to one watch like in the "Highlander". There can be only one ©
