◇ PANDA ◇

I've always liked "panda" watches, but failed to find one that it actually gets me. The closest to it is the Hamilton Intramatic but at 14.5mm height is a no-no for me. Can you recommend some pieces? I'm looking for something under 39mm, 500-2k price.

38mm and under $2k on a strap.

If you would consider quartz at all I would do the Dan Henry 1962. I went down this road and ultimately found nothing would truly scratch the itch but spending 15-30k on a proper THIN chronograph. There’s just really not many options. Of them all

My favorites are

Dan Henry

I’ve heard good things about the Dan Henry 1962, and Lorier’s Gemini is very cool. First hand experience, I really dig my Yema Rallygraf:

My own hunt for a Panda style chrono saw me go through a pair of ST1901 powered Sugess, both modern style and “Paul Newman” Pagani Daytona homages, and a Forzo Enduratimer. All moved on from my collection after a month or two; got the Yema last October and still really like it. It has a history and charm of its own. Just wish it had a bracelet.
