First post: Modding an Orient Mako III (Kamasu) RA-AA0003R19B
Hello all. My name is Roberto, and this is my first post.
One of my favorite watches in my collection is this Orient Mako III, also known as Kamasu. Its red sunburst dial is stunning, and it is perhaps one of the best price/value you can get in a divers watch.
It took me some research and trial and error to find the spares to mod the watch (There is very little info around). The strap is from Strapcode, the bezel is from Long Island Watch, and the insert is from Namoki. The red sapphire crystal was sourced from AliExpress.
In the end, the cost of the spares almost matched the watch's price, but the results are in plain sight, and I am more than happy with them.

Just found this post. What a fantastic mod! I’ve been thinking about picking up the red Kamasu for a while, with the thought off changing out the bezel. This is an awesome look I may copy!
