A Traveler’s Watch🌟

Received “the call” after waiting for two weeks. Love the Sky Dweller’s complexity. What are your thoughts on the SD and two tone Rolexes?

Uff i love it but, yes it is a very complicated watch and maybe i'd prefer a GMT

·

Two-tone really works on on any sports Rolex.

·

I don't even understand how it works, but I dig the look

I heard it’s the most patented Rolex of all. Before adjusting it I had to watch the official tutorial on youtube - that’s how complicated it is but it’s also the beauty of the SD.

·

Got to try on this one the other day. The Sky Dweller is the only Rolex I like, but not a fan of two tone. The associate said I could buy it right there if I wanted. If it was the blue dial I might have said yes.

It surely is a watch worthy of the grail status

Two tone is still a topic of argument in the watch community. Go for the one you love the most! Cheers.

I have no problem with two tone but I'm not a fan of that design.

It might be unique but an acquired taste for sure.

Agreed!

I dig it, actually never tried one on, how does the size wear? I love the jubilee and two tone, but for variety, will they sell you an Oysterflex for it?

·

I can’t get into the fluted bezel.

·

The SD has a pretty busy dial and I love it. I don't usually like two tone but this one looks pretty subtle. It's a beautiful watch. Congrats.

·

White gold blue dial is my preferred flavour. I’m scared of the ongoing service cost for the complex movement.

The SD has a big wrist presence at 42mm, even bigger than the largest datejust I think. The oyster flex SD is quite rare at my local AD, also come with a heavier price tag, but they do have the yellow gold and rose gold versions available. I also saw somebody picking up the oyster flex Daytona a few days ago. So I think ADs are getting more supplies now, at least in my area.

The most interesting Rolex in my mind. Looks good in 2 tone. Enjoy the watch.

·

The most complicated model they sell. Great looking watch

·

Congratulations on an awesome watch. It's definitely next on my Rolex list!

·

Love a two-tone!!!!

Looks amazing 👏

·

Love the SD, less fond of two tone pieces, but congrats all the same 😁

·

Sky Dweller is so underrated. It's one of my 3 grail watches.

·

I actually really like these for the simple fact that rolex isn't very creative or innovative when it comes to new designs. Usually just changing material, size color schemes on old designs. I am not a rolex hater by any means just wish they would create new designs like this more often. I know they do fine without breaking the r&d budget yearly but sometimes you got to swing for the fences and they knocked it out of the park with this one.

·

Magnificent watch, just too big for me. 39mm version please Rolex!

I was curious if they’d sell the strap as an accessory. Does it wear bigger than a SeaDweller or Yachtmaster II

·

I'm a fan of 2-tone. The flutes look extra chunky on the sky dweller, maybe because this is a larger diameter than

36mm.

·

The Sky Dweller is my favorite Rolex.

Personally I'd go one-tone steel, oyster bracelet with white dial.

Or Everose, oyster bracelet with blue dial, but they all look great!

Congrats!

Beautiful piece! The SD is 42mm.

I think there are third-party straps for the SD. The sea dweller is slightly larger (43mm?) and thicker. The yacht master comes in different sizes.

Two weeks?

Two weeks?

Yes, and it was also my first time visiting that AD.

Congrats!
