For me it’s not underrated. Way to expensive for what you get. I’d rather get a Vacheron Constantin or Lange for that kind of money and be sure there was a lot of hand finishing done to the movement.
I do not understand why Cellini is so "unloved". I think these are the best looking watches Rolex used to make.
It's so unloved that Rolex discontinued it. Pretty sad. I think they are only selling the 1908 right now, which is the closest to the Cellini but still different.
