State of the Collection so far!

This is the first time I’ve showed off my watch collection. I’m pretty proud of it considering I’m only 22 😂. there are a couple watches not on shows here such as my Casio F91-W which lives in the lower section of this case.

Watches in my collection are: (top left to bottom)

1). G-Shock GMW-B5000GD-1JF

2). Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical

3). Casio A158 Gold

4). G-Shock GA-2110SU-3AER

5). Tudor Black Bay 58

6). Tissot PRX Powermatic 80

7). Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 38mm

8). Seiko 5 GMT SSK001

I’d say the loudest watch in the collection that stands out is the gold Casio. Has a special place in my collection as I’m mainly into tool and field watches. However this was a gift of my sister who is unfortunately suffering from a terminal illness. I’ve only worn it a couple times as it brings a variety of emotions and I am terrified to get it scratched. Maybe I should wear it more and embrace scratches but I can’t imagine it looking scratched as this is the way my sister gave it to me.

My Favourite watch is definitely my Tudor Black Bay 58. It has all the things I look for in a dive watch, nice case size, beautiful finishing and the most satisfying bezel I have ever used! This thing is also a strap monster so it literally can be paired with anything!

My latest watch has to be the Green G-Shock. I love how lightweight it is and the comfort that comes along with it. Currently wear it for work when I have to fix machines as it can take getting bashed about!

So now I’m hopefully looking to add a few more to the collection in the coming years, I’m not looking at getting anymore crazy expensive watches for a while now. I feel like there’s still some gaps to be filled in my collection, what do you crunchers think?

Some ideas I came up with were:

- Chronograph

- White Dial

- Full bronze watch so I can have a piece that patinas over time

Some watches on my Want List are:

- Oris Pro Pilot X Calibre 400 (Grey, not Kermit the frog 🐸😂)

- Maybe a Seiko Alpinist?

- Hamilton Khaki Expedition

- For bronze watch maybe a Glycine Combat Sub?

Let me know on your thoughts and thank you all for taking the time to read!!!

Great collection! A light dial or a dress watch would be my recommendation.

Definitely after a light dial for sure!! My thoughts for a dress watch was something like a Baltic maybe? I love the dials and proportions they offer!

Baltics are nice…the salmon color dials

Great collection, oh do get a bronze they're magical. Adds a totally different experience to your wearing, polished or patina'd,your choice and the best thing is you can do both Polish it and then watch it colour up over time. And big hugs to your sister, thanks for sharing.

I really enjoy your collection and seem to have similar taste. I would agree with looking to add a chronograph, which is also the current state I am in.

Thank you for the kind words!! Do you have any recommendations for a bronze watch? Definitely want it to patina over time

No, thankyou. I've got a couple of bronzies my fave is this one

Edox skydiver just freshly 'polished' but there's loads out there the glycine is a solid choice, but give other's a look, don't know your budget but you can go the cheaper Chinese route and have an experiment, nh35 movt and a turtle style case so you get lots of surface area to have a play with(not much money), there's also plenty of microbrands that do bronze versions of their watches if you not into the turtle style of case.

When I was 22 I could barely afford rent, let alone watches. You must be doing well.

·

Collection is looking good. I’d start to trade up on some of them instead of buying too many to shift focus on quality, kind of what I’m doing like I sold my prx but wouldn’t mind adding. Zenith defy at some point in the future to take its place

Christopher ward c65 dune in bronze is a very nice option. You can also get a bronze bracelet.

Full Bronze? I went the Oris 65 diver bronze and stainless steel with the sunset brown dial. Absolutely love it (wearing it today). I also wanted and have the matching bracelet which is bronze and stainless steel which looks good with full patina but unfortunately after a few weeks of wearing my wrist was going green regularly and the watch does start to smell like old pennies (which is what the watch youtuber Elizabeth Grant states in her review). Have swapped it to a comfortable worn leather strap that is brown with light stitching. Anyway, full bronze case could work but I’d suggest a stainless steel backing.

Very cool collection! You do have a type haha. I think you need a blue dial watch! It will bring some diversity without being too different from what you like.

Great collection! My latest aquistion was a bb58 gilt too love it! How about a white dial chronograph from Baltic?
