Finally got my hands on the GMT I have been hunting for!

So, early last year I was on the hunt for a cool microbrand to get a piece from. Now I have a few known brands in my collection and I wanted something that was made in small batches and was made by people who loved what they created.

Enter Lorier!

I first was introduced to this brand by TGV on The Urban Gentry (YouTube) after scouring the internet for exactly what I was after. And then Boom! There was this watch… the Hyperion Sii. I stared at it thinking wow! I was in awe of all the little details that had gone into it such as multi coloured lume and the roulette style date wheel (black/red). My only gripe was “damn I wish it came in white”

Fast forward about 12 seconds and I see the skyward version. A white dial variant paying homage to the golden age of commercial air travel (me and my family are avid travellers and we have history with aviation) I had to have it, however the big issue for me was it was sold out. So I jumped on the list to wait for a restock and it happened to sell out again… whilst I was sleeping 😑 (bloomin time zones)

Not to worry I thought, I’ll just go back on the next waitlist and stay up when it next comes out. So I waited, and waited. I actually believe at this current time of posting you can’t get them still however they are restocking in January at some point.

It wasn’t until the other day that I saw an EBay seller listing this in practically new condition! And what was more of a bonus was that the seller was here in the UK… so no duty & import fees!!

As you can see… it’s on my wrist now so you can easily piece together what happened 😂. I must say what a snazzy watch this is! I feel just as excited wearing this watch as much as my favourites like my Tudor BB58 and Hamiltons.

This piece has cropped up also at the perfect time as my sister is travelling for a few months to Australia next month so I can now track her time zone and think of her every time I look at this stunning watch!

Have a great day/night fellow watch crunchers!

Hi Rhys,

Enjoy the new timepiece! I was one of the lucky few to sang one of these when it was first released. The Hyperion SII Skyward is a great watch. The back dial version sold out within a day and the Skyward after about 3 days.

Not sure why anyone would want sell theirs, but their loss is your gain!

Couldn’t agree more! It’s up

There for me with the snowflake handset. I get a bit bored for standard designs 😂

I am certainly not complaining! I absolutely love this piece already! Will probably get it engraved next month to solidify it as a keeper. The last person made the mistake of selling it… I sure won’t be! 😂😂

Nice choice 👍🏾 I went for the Hydra III. This is a very good company. I’m saving for my next watch from them.

Got the same model Hyperion series 2 on wrist today. Actually ordered their flat link bracelet so I can swap bracelets spending on the mood. Absolutely love this watch!

If I could change anything it would be the clasp. Their is only three micro adjusts and no half links.

Enjoy it brother!
