Hey community! So I recently got my hands on this beautiful blue leather strap to replace the hair-pulling bracelet on my Timex Q.
It looked stunning at first, but now I'm having second thoughts. The strap feels a tad bit small after the case and something seems off about the overall look.
What do you think?

Hmm ๐ค dunno about this pairing
It looks off because you need the strap that widens after the pin, like the original one does.
Something like this ones for example

To be honest, it looks ok off the wrist but not on the wrist. Just like a casio with a 18mm nylon. Something is off. I do have the mechanical equivalent of your Q and somehow my bracelet does not pull any hair. Which is awesome because I like the look of it.

The bracelet on my Q Chronograph isn't a hair puller, is nice to look at, but a bitch to get a good fit from ... it's either too tight or too loose ...
BTW, Timex sells a leather strap to exactly fit these Q cases ...
Doesn't look right because it's to narrow. Would need to find an 18mm strap that flares out to the size of the case or get a leather strap the size of the case then notch it to fit.
I've taken 20mm straps and with an exacto knife, notched 1mm from each side so it fits the Q lug width but matches the case size.

Not so sure that:
this watch is meant to be on strap
this is a nice transition from case to strap as it is too narrow
Just my oppionion, if you like it go for it no matter what we say.
If itโs gonna be a daily beater is ok. But if you want to wear it nice yeah you need the right matching strap size and style.
It looks ok but this watch is made for the integrated bracelet. I think you are going just a little against the grain.
The bracelet on the Q GMT is a lot better from what I've seen and heard. I wonder if Timex sells those bracelets individually? It would definitely be worth the upgrade imo

Yeah, I agree. I knew that could be an issue, but I couldn't find bands in Amazon US, so I took a risk. I should start looking at Ali Express too. Thanks for sharing the links!

Thank you!!! I will definitely take a look at it.

Awesome suggestion, thanks!! I have tried in the past, but it was not the most precise cut, haha. Practice makes the master, I guess.
Thanks, everyone for sharing their thoughts, and suggestions. I really appreciate them! I think I will return the strap, and do more research for one that has a better fit. โค๏ธ
Get a 22mm strap and make tiny notches with a blade and it will be just fine. Thats what I did. Itโs basically what the leather strap for these watches is.
There is a company that someone posted up here on W.C. awhile back, that makes aftermarket straps for the Q integrated bracelet watches ... for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.
I think there a YouTube vid as well ... Google search should reveal it ๐
