Some beautiful Grand Seiko possibilities here. Out of the two you listed, I would pick the Longines Zulu Time. Beautiful watch with some nice colour options. It is not a boring watch and will complement your current collection. I recommend the anthracite dial with green bezel. It is fairly unique and the gilt just pops on that dial. Alternatively, the blue is just gorgeous. I love seeing it out in the sunlight, just lovely shine on it. Well finished watches for a great value.

Open to it but don't know of any within the Toronto area (Canada).

My primary GADA watch right now is the Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 with a blue dial. It's boring and somewhat plain but is reasonably sized, fairly accurate, comfortable, great movement for the price. It just works without a high cost. Still have my other watches for fun or when I want something bolder.

Thanks! my only two tone watch. Saw this at the AD and bought it right after I found out it fit my wrist.

commented on Pick 3! Which 3 would you take on a trip? ·
  1. Seiko Alpinist - Beautiful green dial with gold gilt.

  2. Seiko Samurai - I always like blue dive watches.

  3. Casio

For travel (I don't very often since its not required for work)

  1. Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 - for everyday and work events.

  2. Longines Hydroconquest blue & gold - dive watch for non-work, weekend and social activities.

  3. Seiko 5 SRPD - Green or blue one as a beater, exercise or when I know activities could result in watch getting bumped or knocked around. Low in cost to where it can be replaced without issue. Casio g-shock is the potential alternative, but I do not have one yet and focused on the higher end for now.

I completely agree for that level of watch. It does not have to be an exhibition caseback. Put something there (i.e. logo, text of the movement, chromometer, limited edition etc.).
