There is no doubt that rewarding ourselves and our hard work is an act of self love ๐ and should be done once in a while, maybe with a great watch โ
In about a month I'll finish my internship, and if I get a promotion, I'm gonna buy myself a Nomos Orion!
I want to ask you: what will your next milestone be, and what watch are you thinking to reward yourself with? :)

I ALMOST bought that exact same watch! Really, really like it. Great watch. In the end went with this though ( I was looking for a thin dress watch with small seconds btw):
Not sure yet what the next will beโฆagain juggling new & German vs used and Swissโฆ
I like thinking that Iโll get myself a Speedy by the time humans step on the Moon again. I still have a few years to save up.
Mine is also a Nomos, the club sport in one of the sunburst dials.
In a years time if everything works out.
Next up on my milestone watch list is a GS Spring Drive for my 40th birthday in 2026. I've narrowed it down to a few contenders, but right now the SBGE285 is leading the pack.
My next milestone will probably be my death so Iโm not planning on getting any for that event. I bought a MoonSwatch to commemorate my first trip to Sicily, to visit the hometown of my paternal grandparentsโฆ
My future milestone is maybe coming back home in few days, it is at auction and I've seen two watches super interesting and they seems under the radar so I cross my fingers ๐ค๐ผ
Otherwise I would say a vintage Carrera or Ellipse from PP or anything like that. We'll see ๐
Next milestone is to find a job in the watch world as a seller or anything like that. If I save enough on every paycheck I'll be able to pay myself for a Rolex Precision or a PP Ellipse or some vintage stuff from Luxury brands, I'll see ๐๐
I know itโs a boring answer but a Rolex sub no date is my grail but Iโm also looking at Grand Seiko as well.
Super taken a fancy to the Nomos Club Campus on Velour Gray strap. Not sure it will be a milestone but it's definitely next on my 'hit list'

REVERSO!!
Great choice on the Nomos ๐ฏ
GMT Master II
I have a big milestone birthday coming up next year, and I hope to celebrate it with the purchase of my first Swiss watch. ๐จ๐ญ
No idea what my next milestone might be, but it will be rewarded with either a Speedmaster Pro (new one) or a new Planet Ocean.
My next milestone watch will most likely be an A. Lange & Sรถhne Zeitwerk. Absolutely beautiful watch, and with a unique design.
I want to get a Nomos Tangente 35 for my engagement watch. Thatโs coming up next September on our 5 year anniversary ๐ค๐คซ
GREAT post - a friend and I were having this convo few days ago.
I had told him the story of how/why I got my submariner date - was a work milestone after having absolutely working our asses off for 16yrs!
My next one will be the Tag Heuer Monza 40th Anniversary for a slightly different reason.
My son and I really got into F1 a couple of years ago - itโs one of our shared passions, along with watches. One such watch is the Monza (I actually really like it as well).
He turns 16 next yr so my plan is to do the hunt for one together with him. He is obviously far, far too young to be wearing something like this (I got him a really nice Seiko 5 for his 15th that he absolutely loves and wears very proudly - and heโs been told that the expectation is that it should help him get through University!). But the hope and plan is to be able to enjoy the watch and pass it down to him when heโs old enough. Or maybe just continue sharing it with him!

What a wholesome thing that you share this passion with your son ๐ฅน

Got a Reverso for my wedding and a JLC master control for my 50th. Not sure yet what I want for the next milestone. ๐คโฆvintage Patek perhapsโฆ
