I love the design language of vintage watches, but I don't think I would ever own one because the cost of maintaining them is too high. My father is the vintage watch collector in the family and they're in a constant rotation for services at our local watchmaker. 😢

I guess I am lucky to live in the country where yearly service costs as much as few new batteries. If you want , you can share pictures of his watches, I would like to see them 😊

Big vintage fan here. I do wish servicing costs were more manageable though.
Thank you! The Polerouter comes in 2 sizes. The black and gold in the 2nd picture is 35mm whilst the steel and the gold measures 33,5mm. I believe those would suit you just fine👌
They are all wonderful, and as I can see from pictures in a great condition. You are probably right, I have never tried 33.5mm, thanks for suggestion 🤗

Wow, love them all, but the small second hand on square rolex is a detail that I would single out as the most beautiful, thanks for sharing 😊

The Darwil abd Pobeda catch my eye first out of the bunch, but the whole lot is a solid collection of vintage watches.

Thanks Petra! Your watches look great on those straps.
Recently I highlighted about ten vintage makers and their history on WRUW. Here are three:

Absolutely 😁
I like them but I’m more inclined to buy modern ones. But, I have one vintage in my collection: my current dress watch:
A Zenith Stellina from ‘56
All my watch I have bought it the last couple years have been vintage. Last time I bought a brand "new" watch was 2019.
Absolutely 😁
Great watches, my personal favorite is Longines

There is a dessert here in Catalonia called "Crema catalana" (Catalan Cream):
I renamed the watch and I'm calling it Zenith "Crema catalana"

Hahahhaah, what a comparison, definitely there are similarities, I also tend to give them nicknames 😅
