i am an english/canadian longing in alberta. my love of watches goes back to when my dad gave me a mechanical, 21 jewel watch that he bought in cyprus when he was serving there. i loved the way it ticked and needed winding. i was too young to understand it and wore it in the sea, seizing it solid. I still get sad thinking about that watch and my stupidity! since then i have had, and still have, watches of all types and many different brands. i love picking out different watches for different occasions!
I have a GS Sport GMT and I don’t mind the bracelet. It doesn’t have on the fly adjustment that seems to be the big deal these days but I managed without that function for 45 years so it is something I can live without. The bracelet is comfortable, beautifuly brushed and polished and fits the lugs like they are made from the same piece of steel. They are not the best in the industry but their dials and movements arguably are, which is where you can see the most $$$ are invested. A better bracelet, to match the R brand would add $$$ to the cost of the watch. GS have hit the value balance on the head IMHO!
Nice! Mine arrived yesterday and it is a great looking watch on the wrist. I thought the dial would be a little bright. But I haven’t had it out in the sunshine yet. Enjoy it!
