Trade in two watches für one?

Hi guys, need your help in making a decision. I know it sounds kinda crazy, but I actually would like to reduce my not too big collection (4 more expensive watches, 2 beater watches) even further with the intention of giving each piece more wrist time. So the idea is to sell my Longines Hydroconquest 41 as well as my Tudor BB36 and get the navy blue Tudor BB58 instead. The Longines was my first mechanical watch and I do like the design of it, but never really get rid of the feeling, that it is kind of too big for my wrist. The BB36 is well loved and worn, but would be too redundant with the BB58. So what do you guys think?

You already know you like the BB styling, so it makes sense.

It seems like a balanced and logical trade.

You clearly love the BB36. Sell the Longines and something else or save up a little longer…

I’m not a fan of trading watches in because of the loss - unless I really have just fallen out of interest in the piece and know I’ll never wear it.  If you think you might still want these watches in the future, I’d just wait and save. You mentioned that you feel like the Longines is a bit large on the wrist.  Have you tried the BB58 on the wrist?  I don’t have one, but they look a bit chunky to me and I’m wondering if it would feel like the Longines in terms of wear.

I've done this more than once and bren very happy.  Go for it

Don’t get rid of your first mechanical watch, it has a story. It’s what got you into it.

The navy BB58 is a great watch. It’s better than the 2 you’re thinking of trading combined (in my opinion obv).

Thank you for all the responses!

Wow, the outcome of the poll is way clearer than I expected, but many of you mention important points, which I also have been thinking about.

First of all I have been handling the BB58 several times at ADs and I get why people love it, the size is great and so is the movement. Size-wise you can find an actual picture of me trying one on at the header of this thread. So I definitely know that I am gonna like this watch.

Opposed to this is the financial loss by selling my watches and the possibility, that I could miss one of those.

So yeah, it's not easy for me. 😅
