Watch Collection: where to go?

Hello everyone,

I’d like to introduce my current watches to you. I got into watches during the pandemic (out of boredom?) as I believe many people did. So since two years I've already amassed four timepieces (actually +1, but that one has already left me), but don't really consider myself a collector and do not aim to have a large number of watches sitting in the shelf. I’d rather have three solid pieces, to appreciate each as intended.

Diver: Longines Hydroconquest 41 blue old gen with aluminium bezel, but upgraded bracelet of the current model

Daily/dress: Grand Seiko SBGX259

Daily/tool: Tudor BB36 in black

Chrono: Omega Speedmaster Pro hesalite variant

Nevertheless, I cannot stop thinking about adding a Carrier Santos medium, but in order to buy one I would have to sell the BB36 and the SBGX259. Considering my lifestyle and profession I don't really know, if it is a good idea to have two “higher end” watches, as I already baby my Speedy and avoid to daily it too much.

Love to hear your thoughts about the current state and where it may head.

If you baby your Speedy, the Santos will become a museum piece.  The bezel is so easily scratched, you will probably be afraid to wear it at all.

Your collection is awesome as it is.

Now wear your Speedy more.

Thanks for the input!

Yessir, going to wear the speedy more, it is just the most recent addition and is unscratched yet. Once it has it's first nick, it won't hurt no further. 😉

Regarding the santos: from a rational standpoint I 100 % agree, but you know how it goes once you're focused on that one very last watch..

Very nice watches! I have a Speedmaster too, and love it. Iconic watch. I think your BB36 looks great too, but then, I like smaller watches. My Explorer probably gets the most wrist time of all my watches.
