In that price range, Citizen is probably the brand of interest for great quality quartz that work well on numerous strap options. However, if you wanted an Automatic in that price, the Orient Ray Raven is about 180 USD and has killer specs and would look good on any strap you throw at it.

I have an orient kamasu aNd love it. I want a quartz grab-and-go, otherwise a bambino would be perfect for me too.

If you wanted to try something outside the box, you can consider Dan Henry as well. Unique pieces but slightly more expensive. I think the 1975 is cool.

Any idea the style/purpose you’re looking for, to help narrow down a specific watch? GADA? Chrono? Dress? Diver? Etc…

Regardless, in that price range (and excluding Casio & Seiko), I’d say Citizen is the place to look.

Probably not seiko/casio leads me to think that you'd prefer the recommendations to not be Japanese watches.

In that case, the previously recommended Timex or Spinnaker might be your best options.

A GADA is preferable, leaning towards a field style. It's to be my grab and go quartz.

My only real requirements are: Quartz, under 40mm, looks good with a leather strap and isn't a seiko or casio.

Beautiful watch but just slightly too big for me.
