After the 26mm for my wife’s tiny wrist…

I have more than a few mechanical watches. This one arrived earlier today and I have to admit, I couldn’t be happier. A true GADA without a date and w...

First and not last Zelos!

This was a birthday present to myself. I have been preferring dress watches a lot more lately because I just find them more comfortable than divers. T...

i feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful companion. While I understand they’re not for everyone (tons of work), I can’t express just how much our family loves and enjoys this little butthead :)

For the $200-250 price range, I think it’s hard to go wrong with Islander watches from longislandwatch.com. They have a great variety for being relatively new to the game but offer solid movements (generally Seiko) and sapphire crystals in all their watches.

the other added bonus is their service. I have received defective items and they had replacements on the way before I had even shipped the defective item back. Marc (and his one or two employees?) are fantastic and I am often willing to pay a little more to order from them even after finding a better price elsewhere. They are a great store for the budget minded with very few watches over $1k.

Definitely my seiko flighty (sna411). I recently discovered my wife and her tiny wrists can pull it off so decided to take it off the chopping block.

I was thinking to suggest the same. I have the Laco automatik which seems to basically be a 42mm flieger with a different dial; while I love the watch it is easily the noisiest of my collection and quickly convinced me to avoid any watch at any price with an 8000 miyota.

Another proud owner of an F1 here :) oddly enough, I “won” this from watchgang and would have likely never purchased myself. That said, I ended up picking my wife up an aquaracer due to her ability to put up with my hobby and repated expenditures.

Personally I think tag heuer receives a lot of criticism from individuals that have likely never owned one or who are focused on shortcomings such as their bracelets. I too wondered if the workmanship was quality or if the current image was based on their excessive marketing practices. Having experienced this watch for close to a year now, I must say it is a fine implementation of the 2824-2 with fantastic dial finishing.

TGV did a great video on tag heuer where he visited their factory and would recommend for haters and lovers alike!

have a zuludiver fkm strap on today so figured I’d update with a picture.

I’d have to say Zuludiver has been my favorite as of late. They have a great selection with what seem to be pretty regular releases and updates.

That said, I finally broke down and purchased an isofrane and I must say, while it’s expensive, it is in a league of its own as far as rubber straps.

Best strap for different watches?

So I have a collection of straps. I’ve convinced myself not to be tempted to get rid of a watch, until I’m sure the strap/bracelet is not the problem....
