Hey everyone - I just acquired a Seiko Alpinist that I absolutely love. It’s a beautiful piece. In typical Seiko fashion, the clasp is less than desirable, having a significant gap and only 2 adjustment positions.
I got in touch with uncle Seiko hoping he may have a solution. It seems like he does offer some clasp covers that may work but unfortunately, I am unable to remove the cover.
Has anyone else attempted to do this? The clasp release has a part that the pin feeds through and it feels like I may be able to force it out but a little apprehensive to try. Larry (aka Uncle Seiko) thought this type of clasp was not designed to be disassembled…
cheers,
ian

Hey @mtndvr, I know this is reviving an old post, and you may have already figured things out, but I just helped another cruncher with this same problem. He also said that while looking for a solution, he found someone else had posted about it but still didn’t have an answer, which led me to your post.
