New Watch Honeymoon Phase. How long is yours?

A month ago, I picked up the most expensive watch I’ve ever sprung for, the Black Bay 58. I’m in love with it; so in love with it that I’m struggling to wear my other watches in a rotation and constantly justifying the occasion to wear my new watch. Its a strap monster too, I can’t help myself from buying straps for it. This was the same with my last watch purchase before this one.

How long is your honeymoon phase? Is the solution just to buy another watch? Haha 🤣

I have the same joy when i wear my bb58 and it has been close to 1 year. Maybe when u find the one that fits you, it doesnt stop bringing you the joy.

I wore my BB58 every day for about a month straight when I got it. It is still a favorite in the rotation.

Like most things in life I get over the initial thrill quickly and move on to the next piece, don't get me wrong I enjoy wearing all my watches not sure I have a favourite.the wife is amazed I've kept hold of her for 37 yrs

Keep the honeymoon going!  If you’ve found your watch, that’s better than owning 10.

I'm always in a honeymoon phases with my watches because I rotate every day between 4 and it always keeps things fresh.

Congrats!  A modern classic.  I think every watch might have its own honeymoon cycle.  I've burned through some pretty quickly, and right out the other side again (sold!).  But others have lasted for months or years.  Just let it be organic.  Likely if you put it aside, you will have a yen for it up the road.  That's the joy of having more than one, after all.

It depends on the watch. I’m still wearing my Omega Aqua Terra almost every day two years after buying it and my desire to buy new watches has gone way down, especially on the more affordable side. I’m still saving for more aspirational purchases but if life got in the way and I couldn’t buy them or chose not to, I wouldn’t be broken up over it. That’s how much I love my AT.
