Story Time: Lost a pusher on my Speedmaster!!

Last night I wore my 1989 Omega Speedmaster Reduced out and unknowingly to me at some point during the night the bottom reset pusher came off the watch. I didn’t realize it was gone until I got home to put it back in my watch box.

I have a feeling it got caught on my jacket cuff at some point in the night and popped off without me knowing.

Question:

  1. I’ve called my local vintage shop that I purchased the watch from and they assured me the parts are easy to source and seemed confident they could get the correct original parts. If they cannot source the original part(s), I’m going to be pretty bummed. Should I pursue to find the exact original parts if they cannot? Do you all think this will be an expensive endeavor?

  2. Has this happened to anyone with their Speedmaster? Did you have any issues sorucing original replacement parts?

I would give you vintage watch seller a chance. But if you really wanted a search, Chrono 24 has a parts filter on their search.

Take it to an authorized technical service of the brand, they have the original parts and along with the repair, they deliver it to you maintained, certified and with a guarantee.

I’ve seen this happen on multiple Speedmasters. Original parts are still available for the Speedy Reduced. If you trust your local people I would just let them fix it. Omega will probably wont work on it unless you let them do a whole service.

No, it never happened to me and I also had a Speddy Reduced from 1998 to 2022

I’ve heard this same thing before. I’ve heard there’s also a risk they will put newer parts on it as well without asking.

I think it would look cool to have like a moonswatch pusher or something 😂

Put a red pusher on it. Like an Hanhart. Or C-3PO.
