Over the last few months I've been looking for a "Rolex Explorer 1 alternative", meaning a black dial GADA watch that's not too sporty nor too dressy.
I even created multiple posts about it ๐ :
Most people opted for the Longines Spirit 37! But my heart decided for the Monta Triumph. The quirky numbers, the sunburst bezel, the conservative polishing applied to just a handful of surfaces, the hint of a red accent. It was just the right one for me.

Looks like a fine choice.
I would like to try a Monta but shipping and import duties pump them up too high such that they bump up against some hefty challengers over here.
Enjoy
That looks fantastic. I really need to take a look at Monta, everything I see from them looks great. Nice choice ๐.
Looks like a great choice for what you were searching, that is a nice piece of watchmaking!
Have had the triumph on my radar for awhile just need to get motivated to move some watch's on first
Looks great ๐ hope you enjoy it
I love my Monta! (although I have a Noble, not a Triumph). Welcome to the club.
Congrats!
Fantastic choice! Monta will always have a soft spot in my heart. Great brand and I can def see myself picking one of these up. I really like that latest green dial iteration. Ended up getting my seaweed seamaster first, but time will tell!
Nice! I love my Skyquest, Monta is a great choice
Excellent choice, the one I would have mad as well.
You nailed it!
I have my eye on this oneโฆ
I have the Explorer I Ava the Monta Noble. And I wear the Monta more because of the bracelet. A fine choice!
That Triumph looks amazing. Excellent choice.
I too was recently looking for a GADA style watch and strongly considered the Monta Noble alongside the Formex Essence. I struggled between the two as they both appealed to me equally but in slightly different ways.
Formex pricing includes the โall in priceโ I.e. postage, duties, courier costs delivered but those costs were not in the Monta price so I eventually went with the Formex. Iโm happy with my choice (Iโm sure Iโd have been just as happy with the Monta) but just wish more brands would provide the overall cost of getting the watch.
Itโs a pound for pound killer in the every day space. Itโs an Explorer and Aqua Terra alternative that doesnโt feel or look insufficient. The brushing on the bezel is top notch and a level above in my view. Excellent choice.
The bracelets that Monta produces are amazing at any price point.
Fantastic choice, great one from #monta
